The animal designations for the islands were made years ago with the player's input and simply haven't been implemented. Any changes will be announced in advance to all language groups, however, unless there is strong consensus that a change is desired, nothing will be done.

Well, I have a strong feeling that the spanish players won't be agreeing with the dutch...
But who knows :) maybe they'll agree and want more animals too!

Is this the island with rattlesnakes or the island with owls?

Anyway, this is/was the planned fauna for each island:

Owl island:

rabbit
bear
pigeon
owl
deer --> red deer
alligator
cow --> goat
wild boar --> giant forest hog
zebra --> eliminated

Rattlesnake island (the only island with enough contiguous swamp to support a rich swamp fauna):

rattlesnake
swamp snake
mountain goat --> eliminated
deer --> fallow deer
cow --> gaur
horse --> eliminated
rabbit --> eliminated

black goose
gray fox
caiman
chicken

The rattlesnake island is the right one, Terra Nostra.
The owl one is the one on the left.

I like those lists. Will these be used if the Spanish, German and Dutch players all agree to such a change?

That's correct :D
A pitty the zebra's, rabbit's and mountain goats are eliminated.
About the horses: I'm confident that there are in fact horses left on Terra Nostra. 100% sure!!!!

A person objected to the eliminations, so no changes will be made. New animals can't be added without old ones being eliminated.

That was expected, from my part, that is.
We wouldn't want animals ruling cantr over the player :wink:
