Animals/Dieren
Greetings! I'm the new Resource Department Shepherd, charged with keeping watch over the animals in Cantr. I'm starting this thread so I can get feedback from all the language groups about the animal situations on their islands. Your feedback is appreciated, even if (especially if) everything is perfect (if it's not broke, don't fix it).

animals
I think there are to many wild animals in the forest area. When you are outside you are most likely to get attacked 2 or 3 times a day. When you are not an expert in hunting and you don't have an iron shield, you are finished within a day.

Why haven't the wales been entered yet? I know they're on the Cantr wiki, and that they aren't anywere so far...
Are they coming?
If yes: Were? And only at sea or also in lakes?

It'll be hard to make as the sea is one big location, basically. There probably won't be whales, ever.

I wanted to put whales in as static populations on some beaches (giving oil as a resource), but it was vetoed.
The whale, like the legendary werewolf, is anovelty only.
(The werewolf was entered as a joke a long time ago by one staff member, and was so viscerally disliked by another staff member that it was purged from the database entirely).

It would be nice to have a wider variety of animals on the Dutch/German/Spanish island (Terra Nostra I believe it's called on some maps). We have cows, horses, rabbits and deers. And I believe snakes as well here and there. But other than that it's pretty boring animal-wise.
Could it be possible for some other animals to be added?
Like.. the Red Fox, Turkey and the Quail?

If the animals are to be changed, as a rule, ones already in use will not be reused, so no red foxes, turkeys, wolves, lions, or rhinos.
I will look up what animals were designated for this island, and if you really want it, I can start the process of converting it over.
