Anti Flame Pledge

Postby Agar » Wed Jul 26, 2006 8:50 am

Ok, what with people wanting to know why they can't cheat, mad about road changes, and otherwise just being grouchy, I'm going to take a step here, and pledge to stay out of it.

Seriously.

I will provide my input, but when the colored text, all caps and exclamations start breaking out, I'm not going to contribute anything to the discussion any more. If you want to fight, scream and argue, it'll have to be amongst yourselves anymore.

If people want to discuss things like the civilised, mature people I've seen inhabit this forum from time to time, We'll talk. I'm not going to name any names, this is not in fact directed at any particular person, this is my respone to the increasingly flaming threads that have the substance of kindergarden shouting matches.

Remember the best advice I've heard about the internet since "Don't give out your address" :

"Arguing on the internet is like running in the special olypics. Even if you win, you're still a retard."

If you can agree to not get dragged down into the flame topics, post your pledge here.
Reality was never my strong point.

I like to play 'people who say stupid things, then pretend they have a bad headache'. I don't know if they are under the 'retards' category, but, still...

I agree with Seko, but in the interests of my sanity and of keeping this forum for sinking any lower into the sewer I'm going to go along with Agar.

There are a couple of people here who dont' seem capable of acting like adults even on a good day, and I've decided I'm simply going to ignore as much as possible, and once a discussion gets to the point where people are just repeating themselves for the fourth time, ONLY WITH CAPITAL LETTERS, insults, and flames, I'm just going to drop out. (Actually, I'll probably try and drop out way before that point...)

I found that amusing for an entirely different reason to the one you intended...

Uh.... yeah!! Uh.... I guess. What were we talking about?

It don't like name calling and gratuitous insults, but I've been known to be blunt from time to time when people are being obtuse. Does that count as flaming? I don't think I could give that up.

I hope not... considering I'm Chair of the department that is supposed to limit flaming, and am guilty of being "blunt", as it were... :P

Heehee, would the funny thing be that I'm also thickheaded? Not that shouting would help, I would only shout back at ya.

Funny this thread was started by the one person being the biggest prick on the forums towards someone in CRB's... and then the second prick was the first to respond.

Sorry this prick here(me) is so late to respond. I have two words for the both of them.. but I wont post them here.
