Postby cky0890 » Mon Jul 17, 2006 9:25 pm

Well i recently started to play this game again, and i'm wounding.. How is a Cantr year? And what age do people start to die of "old age"

+ When i played people use to say that "That person has a disease" Is there really a disease or is that just code word for inactive  lol

Just a few simple questions thanks for the answers :x

Don't think people die of old age just yet....

Cantr year's 20 days...not sure if that was the question or not. lol

And normally when we say sleeping disease or something...It's just cause the char's been inactive. Some choose to roleplay it though.
Awkward: Having your phone go off full volume during a funeral.

Even more awkward: Your ringtone being "I Will Survive"

The most awkward: Coming back after a 10+ year hiatus and swearing I'd never come back.

If they don't die of old age? What age do they stay on? Eighties?

After eighties it starts to say something like "You see a very old man."

No need to program dying of old age, the boredom of long time players takes care of that in a natural process.

Can't remember what thread that discussion was in. It was in the suggestions forum though...

I thought dying of old age was random, from 80 to 120...?

There is no death of old age yet.

And I hope there never will be. :)

Maybe when ever you're bored with a character, but not bored enough to actively get him/her killed, you should suggest for a terminal illness (most likely cancer). It would be undoable but it's random how long your character would survive. Some might do well for years. Anyway, you could predict when the death is nearing and be ready to give away your stuff before the final moment. Your skills would deteriorate, you would be coughing, having blackouts, gaining tiredness faster, maybe your profile would mention you looking pale... small items might be dropping from your hands while you're online. Think of all the sympathy points, especially if you pull the "OOC I shouldn't have but I was drunk and.. gosh I regret this!" card.
