What do you miss about the old names?

Just whanted to clear things out.
There can be many reasons why people whant the names back.
I whant them back mostly because I don't like to put up numbernames for places I know nothing about when I am out mapping a new place. My character enter a new empty place and finds 5 roads out from it. 1 leads back to the place he just came from. 2 leads to places he saw other roads to from other places but he just named them 36 and 74 to be able to tell if roads lead to them from new places he will visit later. The 2 new places he names 75 and 76 until he will visit them and find out the real name or give it an apropriate.
This gets really messy if a group desides to map an area together and the have desided to have different numerseries. One have 100-199 the next 200-299 ... Some places then quickly gets 2-3 or more numers as well. If places already had a name or it could just be a number (very boring). Mapping would be more fun I think.
