I'm off to smoke my brians out. Sorry LAD man but I can't stand that place I tried and tried my last attempt you killed off and I still don't think you had good enough reason to but then again people do stupid things all the time. Take some celeb. for example. Again I'm sorry I'm in such a bad mood so I'm staying away for the night. Laters all.

I only have one character in the Alexian Empire. I know of some players that have more than one so I don't think I come close to being the LAD man.
And I didn't kill off your last attempt. That would be Sester's doing and not mine. As I said, I play Sester's personality but I don't resemble who he is and in real life I would be revolted by the bastard.
But I would like to point out that someone has to play the bad guy. Cantr would get pretty boring if everyone was to agree and get along.
And what was your last attempt to become part of the Empire? And how do you know that it was Sester's doing? I'm guessing you are talking about the character that was killed in Lad, today after that character's two day deadline went up and that character never said anything nor did anyone vouch for that character. And Sester never struck a blow. He asked again if anyone knew that character and if no one did then ordered the Imperial Guard to execute that character. Some Imperial Guardsmen attacked right after Sester said that and killed that character.
And smoking won't solve your problem. It'll only add to them. Get rid of stress in the short run but kills you and gives you cancer in the long run.

Now I feel like Cliff, trying to defend the actions of this character. I guess right now Sester Gartaf has a big red crosshair on him as far as players are concerned.
All I have to say is that Sester is the way he is. He's not going to change for the sake that other players want him to change. He is a ruthless, power hungry but loyal soldier of the Alexian Empire. His main tool is that he can deal death within a matter of moments. He doesn't kill just because he can. He kills because he is defending the Empire's laws, the Empire's way of life and by doing so he is making sure he stays in power.
I have had characters that have had worked against Sester and the Empire and those that currently do though I would rather see Sester get taken out by someone else's characters and not my own.
In fact, I think Sester will go down in a fight someone day. Where, how, for what and why only the future can tell?

I am inclined to agree with you there. I'm not actually involved with any standard government types. I have plans for the newest island, that are quite unique to anyhting currently existing, and also some plans for the older islands too.

I would expect so. Get ready for the Cantr equiv of the Gold Rush, it's called the "Power Rush" everyone wants power, but there's only so much to go around...

I'm planning on setting up something I have never seen before in Cantr, but it won't come any time soon. Maybe in 5-10 cantr years. Possibly never.
The problem is that the people in cantr are sheep, just like in the real world. Only more irritable. Gov'ts that require popular participation fail. Gov'ts that annoy people but can't kill them fail.
Thus, the mostly harmless council and the heavy-handed dictator.
