I've put together a small and useful application, and would like to share it with you.

It's a CantrClock.

When run, it displays the Cantr Time in your system tray. You can set alarms in Cantr time, and it provides you an easy way to access Cantr-related websites.

The program is for computers running Windows. Note that it's an offline clock, and does not automatically synchronise itself with the Cantr time whatsoever. You have to set it. Like you set your wristwatch.

Important note: I had some spare time on my hands when I started this but the time ended before the project did. For the last couple of weeks I've been ignoring the todo list and using it anyway, and seeing that it's rather usable, I've decided to share it. It is now quite certain that I won't have the time for any debugging or updates for at least about a month or so, I'm barely checking my chars, so I'm afraid you'll have to take this as it is. I think it's quite allright, though. I'd like to apologise in advance for all the support I should be giving but won't be able to, I'm really busy. Please use this thread or PM me for bug reports etc. I'll eventually have the time to work on them.

If you posted technical details, perhaps when other players have time on their hands, and the skills, they could help improve the clock?

That is a really great program. Now i can check what time it is in Cantr. And set alarm when there are things that i have to do in cantr at a special time.

It works fine on Win98SE. But the setup program doesn't exit. But this might have something with my partly lost files on my win98 CD.
(Have a scratched CD whit Win98 but managed to save the most of the info on it to run it and install it. But some programs won't work correct. My old computer cd reader caused the scratches on the CD.)

Maby i should replace my old clock with it...

Just Ctrl Alt Delete, rightclick on the setup and click go to process, then click end process after rightclicking on the setup process... it dont damage it so ignore the error warning... *PC explodes*

Yeah, i know. But usualy it exits when you press "exit installation" or something like that.

Yeah well u dont need to use it again so jjust end the process.

Finally, like Solf said, I'd be interested in seeing the code. If it's simple enough, I may well try porting it to Linux, or maybe someone else would

Personally, I am going to download this right now, because I am a faithful windows user. I think Microsoft should have this built in.

Oooh... i realised the "hand" on the clock is in correlation with the map directions, right? so at 0 the white bit would be to the right hand side, right?

I see windows as a huge legal commercial virus program.

You have to pay alot of money to get your self a virus installed into your computer.

Hmm... the clock seems to be wrong.. It says it's like 6:33 or something... but Cantr says 1:21 or something... Is it just me and my crappy comp?

The code should actually be very portable, since it is written with wxwidgets. Making it an open project looks like a good idea. Just let me put in some comments in the code first, now it virtually is "wearing nothing mentioning".

crosshair, what you said is true only if you selected the "Hardcore Cantrian" mode from the options.

hallucinatingfarmer, I replaced the 7z file with a zip, though I strongly recommend 7z to anyone!

ash, you have to set your clock. Go to settings->options.
