Cantr II Discussion Forum

So obviously sex is a big part of cantr for some folks, and not at all for others. What's your breakdown?

Feel free to post explanations/elaborations. For example, of my current characters:

Married, asexual
Nonsexual (ascetic)
Celibate (still mourning for his lost love of 40+ years, married to the sea)
Asexual (and too old by this point to really care)
Nonsexual (though not necessary non-romantic)
Nonsexual (probably actually a celibate lesbian)
Sexual but non-explicit
Newspawn (too young! )

My first one's a celibate, though there may or may have not been an implied relationship. One of the many dimensions of the ghostly Captain Hobbes.

My only other character's a romantic and playful sort, but the business of his duty comes first.

That's all there is. Unless, of course, the phalli can rise from the dead.

- somewhat sexual, has had some with two people and is obsessed about breasts but is rather timid; has never gone all the way

- appears to be overly sexy but is in fact totally virgin

- has been with two guys in the past but has since then grown "old" (under 60 still) and is nowadays rather much non-sexual

- used to have a girlfriend but since they split up, hasn't been able to find a new one; almost desperate enough to go gay

- with a girlfriend, done it a couple of times but lately it's been just kisses

- tries to be non-sexual but fighting with hidden desires; has had several crushes and one sex partner but never gone all the way

- totally non-sexual

- nowadays totally non-sexual, even anti-sexual; used to have a gf but they split up

- non-sexual, was harrassed by a girl once O_O;;

- married, having a go every once in a while but not often enough

- in a budding relationship, being the hesitant party but you could call it explicit

- has a girlfriend whose player can't rp worth shit, so trying to fade into celibacy *sigh*

- used to be explicitly sexual but I'm a bit tired of playing

- totally non-sexual

Edited to add in a couple I forgot. Looks like there's a trend of being with girls, oops.

All of mine are non-sexual right now, though a handful are quite flirty.

This was not the case with past characters, who used their feminine wiles to get into a number of powerful positions - or pull the heartstrings of those who were.

The one who had the most explicit affair is currently in mourning after his wife died.
Another is happilly married but there is not much graphic detail of their goings-on.
The third has felt a little fondness for members of the opposite gender.
And the fourth hasn't passed beyond the desire for fast cars... well boats.

Can't answer the question easily...

One character gets up to things which are on the edges of my imagination sexually and morally,

One with a partner hoping something will develop (ethical problem this - if I was truly in character he would have tried it on by now but he holds back incase its a 14yo player or something)

One whose partner died of a heart attack before consumation (was I that bad)

One whose dedication to duty means he could only consider a relationship with one girl who he admires from afar but feels he could never be good enough for.

Another who was pursuing a widow who has just died herself and is now caught up in stuff that makes him too busy...

Another who was betrayed by the woman who he (not to subtley but secretly) fancied,

The rest haven't met anyone awake enough to fancy yet...

Six days jailed in a room with a cot and without any to do... except sex.


And what about a sex skill?

I generally avoid sex with my characters, not because they wouldn't want it... But that's because I've never got a kick out of RP sex.

That doesn't stop them flirting though...

Contact the PD with details, and we'll do an age check for you. I'm not sure if we can tell you the exact age, but we can tell you if they're 18 or over.

All my characters are non-sexual, except for one, because I've chanelled all my sexual emotions into that one. I don't think that's really something I can share among my charries.

- One who is married and whom has sex sometimes but not all that often. It's just about right.


- One who has never had sex. Has wanted to for many many many years. He's had girlfriends but there's never been any sex. (Players wishes.) He'd love to go to the B&G but can't bring himself to do it. Needs to get rid of his grumpiness somehow.




- One who has had sex probably three times in his life all with the same woman. But he'll likely never have sex again. I think he hates women now, especially those that are mute, *itchy or stupid. Not that he likes men now, he'll just abstain.


- One who has had sex on several occasions. Durring a period as a slave. Now as a lover.


- One who has never had sex and she doesn't care to.


- He made love to his wife one time. She died. He'll never have sex again. Certainly not with his other spouse.


- One who has sex but as a 43 year old, I think 6 times isn't all that much.


- He has never had sex before. He's attracted to his guy friend but wouldn't dare say so.


- He has never had sex before. He has only ever kissed his boss but it was in a friendly manner.


- She has never had sex before but she occupies a town that possesses a brothel. Can't be sure if she wants to or that she ever will.


- He has had sex twice about 15 years ago. It sucked. At 44 he doesn't much care. That's what holes in the wall are for.

-She has never had sex. Never had an interest and at 33 Im not sure she does still.

- Has never had sex but likely will.


- Has never had sex and probably wont. Too early to say.


- Too afraid to have sex due to a big black mole on her buttocks. Too early to say.

Yeah. I believe so.

I have two non-English characters who have never heard the slightest rumour or innuendo about sex. True, it's not a large population, but....

I have a girl who seems sensual and open, who has been kissed three times (by two different characters) and she thinks that's all there is. And someone had to explain the kissing thing to her. She's led a sheltered life, apparently.

Another girl is too rude to attract anyone, I think, but she's young and doesn't care.

A guy, very softspoken and shy, might be having feelings for a girl with slight mental problems, but will probably never act on them.
