Well we can get credits for voting now, but I have a question
exactly where can we spend these credits? Right now they are just a number on my screen

Merchandise for credits... That's a pretty cool idea.

Somewhere someone mentioned morals. Where is the morality in bribing people to vote, no matter the cause?
(The fact that everyone else is doing it is no excuse.)

What is moral or immoral to one person may not be to another.
Many people would argue that polygamy and polygyny are immoral practices, but there are groups of people of the past and present that don't see it as immoral, but as a way of life.
Cantr isn't responsible for developing a person's morals. Indeed, a person should determine their own morals, not rely on a game to teach them morals. If a person finds that getting some perks for voting is immoral and goes against their values, then they simply don't have to vote. Or they can still vote but never use the credits. It's about personal choice.
You just really can't bring morality into this.

Yay, i have to agree it's not morals involved.
Your not asked to vote, it's an option that you chose yourself.
Read all the posts from people....we would like more time..
Well this is an early option and a chance to gain some, and with most things in Cantr they are worked on and improved along the way.
So while there's always people who will feel like their being pushed to do so..
That really isn't the case from where i look at it being just another player
who enjoys the game.
I'm happy to vote, and anyone who truly enjoys Cantr... i'm sure would
like to see it high up in the rating where it belongs anyways.
You get back from Cantr what your prepared to put in.
Work hard on your characters and you receive some great entertainment
along the way.
So not all use their minutes to their full enjoyment but others sure do.

*shrugs* OK Vote rigging is not immoral apparently, in some people's minds. Puts the credibility of all these lists in question, of course, and you must think they are credible to take notice of them.

All these voting sites take for granted that games will try to mobilize their users to vote, and encourage it. The current credit system relies on a feature the voting site implemented to allow exactly this type of "bribing" system - if they didn't want Jos to do this, they wouldn't have given him the tools to do it with. Thus we are not in any way cheating or exploiting the voting sites.
Whether it is moral for the sites to encourage this, and then try to pass off the lists as impartial opinion polls (if indeed they do) - and whether we are being immoral in "playing their game" - is another issue. But I don't believe the voting sites try to give that impression, and in any case nobody believes it.

I would say voting for a game you like...to receive more time
to play the game you like.
Would in fact be making the rating more relevant because it's a game
thats liked enough to be voted for to play a little more.
So all in all... making it a good game that should be there for others to know and get hooked into as well.

Not immoral, but does breed inequity among players if there's an advantage not otherwise achievable IG.
A coffee mug would be lovely, however.
