Crocheting in Cantr? (heavily illustrated)

Postby SekoETC » Fri Mar 24, 2006 11:26 am

Throwing a little user poll... There's been talk of wether crocheting would make a useful addition to clothing options, and even more so, is a new tool needed for these projects?

Image VS Image

Here's a little picture gallery of what crocheting would make possible.

Hemp yarn, cotton yarn, wool yarn, string and even silk yarn can be used. - You can make quality clothing without a loom!

Crochet hook would take about 20 grams of iron but they can also be made of wood and even bone.

I am just curious as to why people are so worried about getting new and different clothing... When most people in Cantr could care less about the clothing..They are becoming more costly to make.. and most Cantrains would rather wear 'nothing worth mentioning' than pay the price.. (The idea is good... but what is the point?)

Aww, am I the only one who has characters that want to look good or stick out from the mass?

I have one that wants to stand out from the crowd. Wants an outfit for all occasions. I have another char that wants to wear the same uniform as everyone else.

Clothes certainly have their part in Cantr. Perhaps crocheting would be a nice addition.

ARGH!

NO!
NO!
NO!

Crocheting is the most ugliest form of 'clothing'
Well, maybe second only to velvetine, but only just second...

I seemed to remember that you can't include polls on the suggestions forum nowadays, besides this gets more attention here.

HF> can you honestly claim that those pictures I posted were ugly? Maybe some of them but I'd say over half of them are totally hot.

Most of my charries dont care about clothing but if it gives other characters something to do while mine get the useful resources so be it!!!

You can have crochet, as long as only women over the age of fifty can do it and there should be 20 varieties of croceht wooly hats...

Has someone suggested dyes before (I'm sure they must have)

Personally, I don't give a hoot.
But some of my chars might be interested or see a business opportunity, or whatever.
And some other people might have good ideas which involve the crocheting stuff, which I and/or my chars might not even take into consideration.
So I voted "yes".
Oh... and if I ever see another pic of a guy's package, I'm gonna whip out a lead pipe and attack random bypassers... dangit.... lol

Phalynx, mind the much-mentioned children! Which reminds me, I once saw a crocheted dildo cozy on eBay. And a crocheted tampon. But enough of that already!

The general idea was accepted a while back (thanks for voting ya'll) and I'm trying to come up with descriptions and ideas, though they can only be added after the tool is made available.

You mean like this:

"A tube like piece of crocheted wool, about 10 inches long, used to keep a gentleman warm"
