Somebody linked me to the new graphics.. I don't like them very much.
What does everyone else think? How do they blend with the player interface?

I like it, but the only problem that I see is that characters within a building and characters traveling are far too similar...or maybe I just have bad eyesight...but it took me a few seconds to notive the difference.
It's fun though. I approve.

I am all for bringing back the smileys. Those were an easy way to check up on characters when I was lazy.
They haven't been attacked? Good...on with the pizza...

The icons mesh fairly well with the page. A few of the icons are a bit too complex I think (the travelling one took me a while of starting at it to realize it was a path leading to a tree). The ship and the person are easy enough to understand though and very sharp. Over all, I like it.

Huh? Looked like a guy on a bike to me. *goes to check* Still not seeing it. "Travelling" and "in a house" are a bit blurry. The person and the ship are a-okay.

Think there is a different one if you are travelling on a vehicle...
Maybe...

Even if they were nice graphics I don't see the need. You can just check, on the player page, where your location is.
"Ack, too lazy to focus my eyes a few inches to the right"....
If you are going to have dynamic images for that, it would be better to either a) go back to the

set or have some other sort of system that notifies you of events.
Say, a "!" if you were hit, or something.

I kinda like them...
Agreed that the building and travelling are a bit blurry though.

I rather like it. I do think some of the graphics are overly complex and detailed for such a small icon, but that could be changed. It's much quicker to assess the picture than to process the words over the right that tell exactly where you are.
Besides, some people are more spatial, and this gives them a preferable way to assess the condition and position of their chars. More analytical mindsets can look at the worded description.
I did used to like the

though...

I still don't see the point of having it when it shows on the same line the same fact.
Can someone fill me in?

The suggestion to display current character activity in the Player page in differnet colours was accpeted. When this was tested it was found to be an eyesore it was decided to show this infomation in a graphical manner using these icons. No they don't add any more infomation than is currently available in text form, so feel free to ignore them.
If people don't like the design or find any are unclear then we'd be happy to look at alternative designs. I'd recommend any submissions are similar in style to all other buttons in Cantr.
