Becoming your character...

If a genie popped out of a bottle, and said that you had to become one of your Cantr Characters (in the game, not out of it, so you'd get everything that came with them), which would it be? You don't have to name names; I'm mostly interested in their life and traits. I'll go first:
I'd be my charrie that has had a very interesting life so far, encountered adventures he was never looking for, is madly in love with a lady who's also madly in love with him, and has several very good friends that he can always count on when it matters. He has a nice home and is trying to furnish it, and has enough conflicts of conscience to make his life perpetually interesting, constantly thrusting him into what he ought to do as opposed to what he wants to do.

Just a quick aside, I just realized that this charrie's life is the most reflective of my real life situation out of all my characters (except that I do what I want more than what I ought, and I'm not big on dangerous adventures). Funny how it took 10 characters and a forum post to make me realize how satisfied with my life I am.

Hm, I'm in doubt between three chars here.
The first one is my very first char.
He doesn't have many friends but those he has are true friends, he's fallen for a lady who happened to be the first person he ever saw in his life (though the falling for happened at a much later stage) and it's mutual, but she ended up having the dreaded sleeping disease.
That part reflects my life a bit; I always seem to get involved with women that lead to tragic results.
But my char has vowed to keep her alive, as well as one of their friends has.
The second one doesn't remember where he was spawned, while he hasn't travelled much yet.
The second or third place he got to ended up being sort of his new home for a long time, unintentionally.
He had been there for a short while doing nothing, when he started to think of what to do with life.
He decided he wanted to travel, but didn't have a clue how to go about it.
And as soon as he decided that, litterally seconds later, a woman entered town looking for a travelpartner.
He seized the opportunity, and for a brief while his life seemed to go great, but she died while still gathering wood to build a ship.
My char vowed to make the voyage she wanted to make, on his own.
But while gathering wood, he decided to prepare much better for it.
So first he ended up building a dinghy to do some short-range coastal trading, and to use as storagespace for more resources.
When he has enough metal and other resources, and food, he's building a bigger and faster ship or boat, to finally take that voyage with.
The third char was just wandering around with no goal when he met an old acquaintance who convinced him to stick around a bit longer in an abandoned town that the acquaintance and some others were going to rebuild.
He ended up becoming part of their group, and might even end up becoming town leader, after one tragic death and some other tragic events that are happening to the others (wild animal attacks, sleeping sickness, one possibly going to jail or get killed by some empire that thinks it has a bone to pick with that char and wants to go at that char to get in a position of power over the group of people as well, by taking out an important member).
Somehow my char seems to remain unbothered by all that stuff, while it does anger him that he's watching his friends end up dead or otherwise gone.
There is a fourth char that leads a semi-interesting life (travels, makes interesting tools and stuff, has fun...) but right now she's thinking of settling in her spawningplace.
And that would mean that the only remaining interesting thing is that she lives in the same place as another char from another player, which several of my chars had pleasant encounters with.
Funniest thing there is, that other char happens to be born on the same day as the char which is considering settling down there, something which I never even figured out until both mentioned how it was their spawnday yesterday.
Yeah, that may seem boring and pointless, but to me little facts like that make life amusing.

A) I'd run for my life.
B) After being chastised by the genie, I'd pick the one that's currently mapping the island he spawned on. He's seen plenty of interesting places. Only downside is that he's scared witless of the local murderous cult.
C) Or I'd play the guy who was just made a captain. I suspect he will get to see plenty of interesting places too.
D) The others are just simple gatherers in their little towns. Except the one that's thinking of settling a beach, but that doesn't exactly sound exciting to live out.

The first one that comes in mind is a lonely aged woman who has lost more friends and loved ones than the current living acquintances can replace. She gets rather regularly punched past the shield by guys thirty years younger than her. She's 52 and a virgin, with not much chance of finding a partner. She's awkward or novice in most skills, has this far discovered two areas of expertize out of which the other one is fishing - in a location with no fish. And she's skillful in farming. So why her? - Because she's in control of her life and people respect her. It's an interesting, active location but without turning into a chatroom or a soap opera like LV.

.... A tough start in life... not really wanting to survive... planning, choosing what way to die.. Then meeting someone, who first through a few kind words, and interesting stories, kept her from taking that path....then, through a developing friendship, She gained more desire to live...
She followed him, to learn more... He gave to her something no one ever had.. respect, honesty, trust, a friend. Through time, a bond developed as she helped him to build his bussiness into something even more prosperous (sp?), gainful. With the growth of that, the growth of love developed, the bond stronger. Exchanged words of dedication has united these 2, for almost 15 years (though together for many before)
She has found a life mate, that believes in her, she believes in him...Sometimes, they just know what the other needs.. there have never been harsh words between the two.. don't recall if they ever even disagreed on anything...
In the end... A stable, happy life with interesting travel, life goals which are achieved by working hard....together... yet seperate personalities are maintained.. niether has ever tried to change the other....

I'm guessing (and I may be wrong) That you play Murie?

I have characters that are rich, and powerful, but why choose those? They've had losses as well as gains.
I'd be forced to go with one of my middle characters, who wandred alone for well over a decade, didn't really care for people, or places, but was liked enough by those he encountered. He only cared for trading, until a situation out of his control led to him staying in one place, where he fell in love.
I'd pick that simply because for him...Everything is new, and if I were to be a Cantr character that is what I'd want. Plus none of the hassles of being a newspawn.

I'd like to play my ass character who views life as a game. He enjoys messing with people...

With me it'd be either my smith or my trading company owner.
There's just something aluring in striking metal with your tools and making other tools with it.
And it's just great to improve your local neighbourhood with yout ammased wealth and connections.

Heroic would-be fighter against bandits in an untamed and lawless area (keyword "would-be", he's under equipped but working on changing that), ruthless dictator starving to death desperately trying to get to a place to farm in (been going through mountains, he keeps pressing on because it's too late to go back), religious fanatic beginning the long preperation for the founding of a religion who plans to begin a crusade against another religion in the area that feels the sick need to "shed blood for their god", take your pick.

There are a few I'd probably like to be... well, most of them I would have wanted to be at one point.. But some have become disheartening and even as a player, it's difficult to play them sometimes lol
One is a generally happy girl, with a wonderful best friend of 12 or 13 years... She suffered a severe shocking blow a few Cantr years ago, and she became somewhat reclusive for awhile, keeping very busy, and still feels like she needs to keep busy though she's now trying to spread her wings.. She's learning to love again (how cliché) and to explore some more of the world she's in... Because of the constant support of her best friend and the introduction of someone relatively new in her life, she's got a bright future full of hope and happiness...
Another one I'd like to be is one that's been really fortunate all her life with what she's wanted... She's never been very social and has worked hard to get what she wants, though Fortune has made it a little easier.. She's free to do as she wants; she's not indebted to anyone.. She's strong and very independent... Not long ago, she started learning to socialize more and found it's not so bad as it seemed, and after her goal (which is nearly done) is completed, she plans to go and find the people that she enjoyed being around again..
Let's see.. ah, another one is very blood-thirsty, and just a little off upstairs although she appears relatively normal... She is not the type to be messed with; you mess with her, you end up dead... And that's the honest truth lol... She has no conscience... She'd be fun to be because she's probably the most unlike me actually.. All the others probably show signs of one or two of my own personality traits, but if she does, it's only the dark side that I'm unconscious of...
The last one I'd probably like to be at this point in my chars lives, is a very vibrant, happy, reach-for-the-stars kind of girl... She's very curious about everything and wants to try everything at least once... Once she does something, she never looks back and never regrets it... She lingers only in the present, never the future or the past and lives her life to the fullest... Nothing can bring her down from the cloud she travels on...
And as I mentioned before there were some that at a past point, I'd have liked to have been them... until their lives took turns that right now just seem dismal overall... It's a roller coaster ride with each one, so I don't hold my breath.. eventually, their lives will be completely played out, and maybe then would be the best time to be able to really be able to say, "I wish I could've been that character.."
But since the genie popped out and said I have to be only one of them... I'd choose the last one I described...

My first, and most likely choice would have to be one of my older charries, who although in love with the same woman forever, chooses to keep his distance, feeling like he fails her if he gets to close. He's led a pretty interesting and dangerous life so far and is finally relaxing on a boat ride.
The next would have to be my ranger, so far his routine is quite slow, but his job conists of traveling and talking with people.
