Violence, Violence, and more Violence

I thought this was a prudent time to raise the issue of violence again, after I lost a very promising character to two individuals.
Now if it were me vs those two I wouldn't complain, however I wasn't the only one killed, but around 20 or so others, and many more injured in the space of about 10 minutes, by the pair.
I'm speaking of Krif, and I think this is a prime example at how unbalanced the system is, where these two characters sharing a wepaon between them can practically wipe out a town, in the space of a mere 10 minutes, and probaly finish the survivors off the day after, but just one more character would mean the entire town could be massacred in the space of 15 minutes, hardly fair, balanced, or realistic (bearing in mind machine guns and high explosives don't exist...)

That was kind of crazy...My character, due to sheer luck, is one of currently 6 left standing in Krif.
They're calling it...The Cleansing.

Now why couldn't they have done it somewhere where I want my character to die, rather than in one of the few places I had ideas I wanted to see through????

It's a curse, man.
Krif is cursed.
It's NEVER had a stable non-despotic government since I've had a character in the region...one of my first was born during Craktar's little escapades...what with the SJs, New Krif, Jacob and Simon, etc. the place will NEVER know peace.
An interesting thought: Maynard Leeward is one of the only people left alive in the town. He wasn't one of the agressors but one wonders: What will he do with the opportunity? What are his true colors?

My now dead character would have wanted him to step in and start a new empire

So Seatown Forest is going to have to come back in and save Krif's ass again, huh?

It's possible.
Pity this didn't happen LAST week...there was a big Ranger meeting in SF that could have done a world of good.
'sover now, though.

My character is still making a map for Seatown Forest. Seatown Forest was one of my favorite places, I hope ht eplace hasn't changed too much. I've been away for about 4 years.

that's not too hard, they have a population, and Krif doesn't anymore

Population: 6 or 7
The council is still alive, however. They were for some reason out of town.

And I'm sure the population is better armed and protected as well in Seatown Forest though it will take at least a week before news reach the Forest as to what happened in Krif if not longer. But the Forest is currently dealing the Krif Eagles who keep coming up with more surprises by the minute.
First they claimed someone didn't existed and then that person suddenly showed up and a resident that no one trusted illegally tried to trade iron with one of them etc...... Oh, and the different versions of stories that come out of them. Interesting....
Plus, not to say other mysteries keep arising such as an underground groups that only a few people know exist. Very weird stuff happens in that region.
But as I predicted many months ago as a player, there will never be peace in that region.
