Well this makes me think that even with work arounds
(Splitting up piles, storing in projects, etc), rot will still have a meaningful impact on the game if it varies depending on the size of the pile.

Super interesting, thanks Greek!

Top translators over all time:
Seko (Finnish) - 4720
notsure (French) - 4263
Pilot (Spanish) - 3259
fragola (Lithuanian) - 2865
Greek (Polish) - 2233
clavell (Esperanto, Spanish) - 2156
user from 2006 (Swedish) - 2143
Berserk9779 (Italian, Spanish) - 2119

Note that these counts aren't the total number of translations they've done, just the total number of texts for which they were the last person who updated the text, as it only records the last person.
Nice work!
And the fact that certain languages aren't at the very top just means that the translations are more spread out among multiple translators.

Curious how much fighting there is in the game now. Any way we can see the amount of hits there were on another player compared to the amount of active players?

I have never seen a single blow landed (except in practice) in about 12 Cantr years of play. One time my character accidentally hit and wounded someone with a Clayborne and they thought they were being attacked and ran away despite my character apologizing. And another time a violent wild man who murdered someone was locked up and executed but my characters didn't actually see the blows.

I think it might be hard to distinguish actual fighting from the numerous pillow fights and spoon battles that take place.

In the public statistics one is called 'killed by character'.
I think ...

Amount of violence is a good question, and separation of sparring attacks by attack level particularly hard, though sometimes people do use somewhat stronger weapons for sparring.
I can say that there seems to be attacking with strong weapons going on every day, but usually just a few or so a day.

One statistic that is already available is number of kills.

Go to Statistics at the bottom of the player page -> Time trends -> Select nr_of_kill_by_char. This is just raw number, not percentage.

I find this next one a bit funny. Apparently after many characters died off in the 3000s (mostly due to inactivity), there was an age of lock picking or scavenging, which appears to be more stable now.

That age was great. Every abandoned town, a gold mine.

I wonder about the strongest characters in Cantr history and most skilled ones.

About strength: there are lots of people with maximum possible strength. And a few dozens have both max strength and fighting skill.

How many characters maxed out each skill?
