For those who don't read the titles and just go ahead and open it up,
Why is there a 'You've played enough. Now shoo... " ie the Come back tomorrow thing?
What does it prove?
What does it stop? (besides people playing Cantr)

Yeah, I noticed.
"No comprendo"
You said "He doesn't understand" and if you put an accent on it it's "I didn't understand" and if one of my characters would just hurry up and die I could finally get in the spanish lands.
(Pardons if you meant one of the above)

'Your playing time is up. Come back tomorrow!"
Yes, it is when you run out of minutes, and to tell the truth, it sucks. I'm in the middle of this massively mofo plan and all, and suddenly...
"Your playing time is up. Come back tomorrow!"
GRR!

Excuse me, but ever heard of the phrase "use wisely?" You could save time by typing your future messages in some other place, like notepad, so that you can just copy and paste in no time once your playing. You can also try logging out if you're waiting for events to happen, then log in on the occasion...

I've never really had a problem with it, but of course, as a star RPer, I get my 1000 mins. From Theatris' posts ... you must still have the probationary 100 minutes still?
Well, all I can say is work hard, think before you type, and try not to do anything too stupid like start an ooc group and declare war on the Stone Knights.
Unless I can watch.

It's partially, I think, so players like me that don't live online, don't have to read through tons and tons of text everyday from the few players that would be really obnoxiously active. Cantr was made to be slow-paced and played minimally; so why do you need so many minutes?

The most frequently given reason is server load; restricting playing time ensures that active players don't hog server resources.
Live with it. Growling and using silly emoticons isn't getting you anywhere. Neither will reasoned argument (on this point), since everyone else has learned to get by, but at least it's less irritating.

Personally...I almost cry every day I use up my minutes...
It's a rare occasion with school happening and all, but when I'm on holiday you'd better believe all I do is play. And then 200 minutes later my life has no purpose...

I've never used all of my minutes. The closest I've gotten is 16 minutes left, and that was on a school night, believe it or not.
That was the night that I wrote my Great Texts... oh how I love them.

I play a maximum of 100 minutes on school nights. I actually do my homework sometimes.
