Dumb "Criminals"

Postby Genevieve » Tue Nov 15, 2005 3:55 pm

So one of my characters is trying to help a friend of hers escape from what she thinks is wrongful incarceration (or the threat of it...and possibly even death).

While on the road, they are in a vehicle and being chased. She proceeds to accidentally (either by me hitting "enter" or might be a bug when switching to the other person) hands the weapon to THE PERSON CHASING THEM!

Doh!

Any "Dumb criminal" stories of your own?

That sounds like a bug. You shouldn't be able to hand things to people outside your vehicle.

That part is not a bug. Passing to and from a land vehicle even when travelling is allowed. I'm currently investigating the other circumstances

EDIT: What is probably a bug but not relevant here is that foot travellers cannot pass things between themselves

It has been a traditional advantage (since I've started playing or at least as far as I can remember) for those with vehicles to be able to move within this near distance to hand stuff to people, and not visa verca. How does somebody on foot catch up with a moving car unless the car moves by them to hand them the stuff.

I've got dumb stories about Drew, which are usually better than criminals', though hardly ever by my doing.

I've also got a few good dick stories. Elementary...

I've no stories like that in this video game. I could tell you some real ones I've seen, though.

Hm...
My friend was (I think still is) chasing after a criminal. The criminal threw all this random junk at my friend, and slowed him down, which is a 'smart' criminal... quite the opposite, and a controversial point to this topic. My friend just told me that the criminal's name is Olympus, and my friend would prefer to keep his own name to himself... For some reason.

But, yeah, some 'Afternoon Criminals' (those players who spawn criminals during their boredom and see how far they can get away), can be quite smart. Which is a problem.

You never know, it might be a CR breach and he did something naughty...
