im LOST!

Postby Psycho Pixie » Fri Nov 11, 2005 6:34 pm

go figure, I go on leave for a bit, come back and Cantr has changed so much I am totally lost....

first, when did it change to "unknown location"? Fortunately for me, I remember how to figure that out, I look at the buildings and look at the letters on the ground. That generally tells me what town I am in.

Roads... hmm.... all lead to yet more unknown locations, how the heck would someone totally new to the game survive? I have had to pull all my old tricks out of the bag just to function. At least I spawned mostly in places I have been before... :)

But then I am useing player knowledge to play the game. So I can't do that, gotta act the newspawn and ask everyone for help and try to be a good citizen  I like being evil on occation... just one evil charry would be nice. but I gotta be nice to survive. **sigh**

And yet, it is still addictive.

I won't be an idiot and ask for help on how to play. But damn, this game got complicated while I was away. I miss the simplicity. Can't wait until the first time one of them gets sick. That should be fun.

Here I am. BITE ME. or not, in fact, never mind, dont want some wacko taking me up on the offer. Only non wacko's may apply for bite allowance.. no garentee that you will be granted said allowance, but you can try.

Everyone's evil sometimes

It took me a bit to get used to things after being gone for 6 months, just gotta give it a few weeks.

It seems that only old players have a problem with this, new players never knew anything else. Personally I like the change, it's only a bit awkward when you play in some desolate area where there are no people and name the places yourself and other players name them differently. I've only encountered that once so far, but it leads to confusion. :)

Why would you evil character care what other people name their stupid towns? Aren't they just your source of stealing or killing or whatever you want to do? Name the places Incredibly Naive Population, Just North Incredibly Naive Population and so on.

*shrugs*

Just find a map. Each and everyone of them is still relevant, if you can work out where you are (just like RL...)

Not really all that complicated... :P

Good to have you back, Pixie! :) Don't worry, things will get easier. Well, for your non-travelling charries at least. :P

Hahaha... Yeah...
I have one character who has an issue (a serious issue) with settling down in one city. Which makes it really difficult to make educated guesses as to where the next city is that has what he wants. I think I've made him so he wants a city with food and a rare resource... A quiet city at that, too.
Evolution is unconformity.
