I have a character who is walking around with tea leaves and taconite. What are purposes for these resources?
He has to find out in person. But the player of a character is allowed to use the wiki to find out information. These two resources are not in the wiki though.

The wiki lists "brewing tea" (which uses crushed tea) as a function of the oven and coal oven. No idea how you get from tea (which is also in the wiki, but without information) to crushed tea.
Taconite? I have no idea. Added it to the wiki.

Ooh, taconite... I'll hold my tongue for the most part, since some strange things happen with resources in cantr but... can we be expecting to break out the smelter?

I'm guessing it got into inventory through that resources bug ProgD has mentioned elsewhere, whatever it was. And since apparently there are lots of things implemented but not available, I'm not holding my breath for this one. Don't see the need for taconite, anyway. We like our hematite fine.

I have not been able to find hematite with this char; only taconite. Wood is not available either, but there's plenty of raw food.

You've found gatherable taconite and tea leaves?

If people would be so kind as to send me or kabl00ey the gathering rates, type of terrain the resource was found in and any uses they may have found, I would be ever so grateful. This goes for old resources as well - we have virtually no information on any resources except for what we have from machinery data.

This could help to explain what taconite is used for.

Yes, I know. But we still need the details, and really until we get the details, it's no use posting our evidence-based hunches - RD often works in mysterious ways.
