Road Change

<b>Djorf Hills Path</b> to Djorf Hills (west) (sand road) (direction: south-west)
<b>Seatown Road</b> to Seatown Forest (path) (direction: north-west)
<b>Seatown Road</b> to Djorf Hills South (sand road) (direction: south-south-east)
Shouldn't the stuff in bold be deleted as well, in accordance to deleting the location names?

You're damn right it should.
There is absolutely, and I mean absolutely, no reason to keep those names. And don't try and tell me it helps since maps are now useless... wake up and realise that old maps are still as relevant as they always were.
Delete the road names, and lets finally finish dynamic location naming.

Almost ... the words path and road should stay . These will probably be removed soon, technically there are several issues we (ProgD) have to address before they go .
Edit : Actually the word Path is used when no name is present so the bold items should be replaced with Path

Why should those words stay? They bear no relation to the actual quality of the road, and if anything are completely misleading.
Unless you change the structure so it reads "Sand road to XXX". But that will require a more radical change than just deleting road names so the old island are like the new...
EDIT: Damn you and your editing your post while I was writing my reply...

Well, meh... cannot be bothered to edit my post.

It should either look like
Path to Djorf Hills (west) (direction: south-west)
Road to Seatown Forest (direction: north-west)
Road to Djorf Hills South (direction: south-south-east)
OR:
Djorf Hills (west) (sand road) (direction: south-west)
Seatown Forest (path) (direction: north-west)
Djorf Hills South (sand road) (direction: south-south-east)
Otherwise it would be repetitive and at times, false/contradictory.

It takes the first form of these
In English it's of the form
<ROUTE TYPE> to <DYNAMIC LOCATION NAME> (<DIRECTION OF ROUTE>)

Why not dynamic road names as well? So one could call the path to Emerald City the Yellow Brick Road, or whatever tickles your fancy.

Dyanamic Road Naming... I don't think that's necessary.

Seems to me it's just a superflous drain on the server.

Many roads in Cantr actually don't have names. Only on older island they do. Nowhere is there any dynamic naming though.
What I would suggest is removing all road names, without introducing road names, but at some point introducing signs for roads (asap) - how about that?

I concur.

I would like some way to name roads. It adds flavor to the game. If somesort of dynamic signpost could be implemented, that would be cool and hopefully alleviate some drain on the server...well, maybe not. But I do like the idea of the signpost in the middle of town labelling all the roads.

Signposts once implemented could also list the road name:
'The Imperial Path - Paved with Iron - to Karnon Forest' (Signpost pointing west)
As for dynamism - once (if) signpost / landmarks / building destruction is implemented - that'll cover that...

hey farmer, mind if we borrow that one for in-game purposes?

You mean it's not there already? It's not like it's not blatant enough already
