Profiling characters through typing

I'm not going to go on a rant about poor spelling when it comes to characters, since that is something that will never change...
...but I do find my characters see other characters in a certain light based on how the player types, and I wondered if other players (or their characters) do as well. For example:
if i came along and said my name is greg and used all lowercase and no punctuation <-- An insecure character that looks at the ground when they speak.
Thx, you all r very nice ppl.. lol <--That's a person with a speech impediment, they sound like their jaw is broken.
Cna anyone tel me whree to get hemotyte? <-- That's in a language my character can't understand.
I guess my coping mechanism is, if you can't correct them, roleplay it.

I ignore it, but tend to lose a lot of respect for the players, if I know who they are.

I have some characters who type differently than I do everyday. Or I type differently for them, or, you know ...
One of them has a horrible accent, and I've been wondering how much people have been able to keep up with what he's been saying.
another is more Subtle, and just puts Emphasis on the words he wants to highlight as being Important to him.
But as far as thinking the characters are idiots for typing badly, yha, I do that.

I'm afraid I am one of the people that type badly sometimes, I do it because I think faster than my fingers work and I sometimes have to press the button and log off quickly as I play from work and have to go quickly to deal with something.
Sorry if I irritate anyone.

Agar, I think I met that character somewhere. I think I remember where, do you have a character in Kwor? Maybe it was elsewhere, I'm not sure.

I often slip and type ; when I mean to type '
I can understand the annoyance at the second example - but the first with no caps, and the last with mis-placed words - that's just people who don;t have the time to check everything that they write...

I don't check everything I write by any means, but I correct it as I go, it is a subconscious thing, so usually my slip-ups are because I actually don't know how to spell something as opposed to laziness.

I seldom submit anything online that isn't a little edited, or at least reread. . . .
I don't expect everyone to be as weird as me, but someone being really, consistently wrong is quite annoying. I usually ignore it IC, though. I don't like typed accents either--not because they're wrong, but sometimes it takes too long for me to figure out what is being said.

I like them to an extent, I have come to skim right over them, just like accents in RL.

I reckon then neither of you are MacGregors or Lakesiders.

I'm a lakesider. A fairly major one, considering how quiet that town is.

I have a character that's neither a Lakesider nor a MacGregor, but he has a pretty rough accent. This doesn't bother me to read it when other people do it, since it colors their characters. My character speaks that way pretty consistently, so after a short time it's "purdy easy t' figger out what he's sayin'..."
I was on just now and came across a character that didn't use periods. All of a sudden I found myself picturing him as one of those kind of people who talks at length without taking a breath.

I take lowercasing as mumbling, the speaker usually seeming insecure. Some of my characters consider such characters being almost half-witted.
No punctuation is fast speech. Dear god that Fred Oneleg, he can talk a load without ever pulling a breath! O_O
Accents when done on purpose are cool.

I have always just found people who do not try to spell correctly very annoying, and consider their characters rather unintellegent.
Myself, I don't spell all to well, as my english is not very good, but I do try. I don't mind as long as someone make an effort.
But people who try to roleplay accents are really really annoying.
I once had one of my characters meet someone who was trying to roleplay some sort of European acent (although which I couldn't tell) when they we're born in the english land (my character was there when she spawned) and went around saying she wanted to become an actor, which does not exist in Cantr. Trying to be all European stereotypcal "artiste" kind of thing.
I always just pretended she had a jaw deformity or had some sort of mental disability. She found out that, got all angry. The whole thing was godamned stupid.
Makes no sense to have a different accent from the people you are born with and grow up around. That just doesn't happen.
