mascotte

Postby Jos Elkink » Mon Oct 24, 2005 8:43 pm

I was wondering whether Cantr should have a mascotte or some kind of more graphical logo. Because of stories I hear about Olipifirovash West and simply because I like them, I was thinking of a sheep. Actually, different islands seem to have different mascottes :) ... buffalos in K-island; sheep on Pok-island; raccoons on Cantr-island (Naron) :) ...

Anyway, I tried to play around with graphics - just briefly - and the result is quite horrible:

If anyone has either 1) better graphics with sheep or 2) a better idea for a logo / mascotte, feel free to publish it below.

Photos won't do - it should look like a logo. The above is already too involved / colourful for that.

If you post anything here, it will be assumed that you give Cantr permission to use it, and that if that happens, you will not use it for other purposes.

If anyone can tell me how to use an image here, that would be appreciate ... HTML's IMG tag nor BBCode IMG tag seem to work :(

I thought that was right. Maybe the space in the file name is screwing it up.

Yep. It was the space in the file name.

Ah damn, I remember when Jos said what animal it was supposed to be...
Just don't remember what exactly. A kiwi or something like that.

I only realized it was supposed to be a mascot after I made the Logo :-P

Anyways, this was the one I popped up (kinda having the currency thing in mind):

And some other manipulations I had made before when I was fooling around:

(which might look better when downsized)

Image

And this was just when I wanted to see how many people I could trick into thinking I found a new island  quite a few:

Image

While I'm at it, a character (so this isn't mine) in one of the towns I was in made a town logo:

Clearly, from that last one, some of us are more skilled at this kinda thing than others. :P

Hm, sheep and raccoon both have some kind of magnetic effect.
Maybe some genetic engineering?
A sheep with a raccoon's face?
A woolie raccoon?
And while we're at it, if that could be made, how bout we send one of those new critters (woolie raccoon or sheep with a raccoon's face) to my room, so I can think it over some more?

But all joking aside, yeah, the sheep and raccoon seem to have something.
Or a bone club with a smily face.... hm... I'll have to give that one some thought, may just have found a little rp-ing idea for one of my more humoristic characters... heh...

I said that once and it was shot down. I thought it was a good idea.

Anyway, now I have 800 different sheep designs running about in my mind, pushing my homework out of the way. Thaaanks Jos. .__>

Am I the only one who doesn't like the sheep?
I'm picky as to keeping any logo as something that's been around.
Either the smiley face, or the hunting bird.

I like the smiley face myself. I certainly don't want an animal.

And what does a sheep symbolize? A dumbass factory worker who just eats and works on projects, ready to get sheared.

Edit: Hey, this would make a great quiz. Which Cantr animal does your character remind of...
