Is it Just Me

Postby Hagan » Mon Oct 03, 2005 7:56 pm

Is it Just Me or has the site slowed up quite abit again.... All other sites appear to be opening as normal but Cantr sure is slow the last few days to me.. Granted I am cursed with dial up... but its strange the other sites I regular appear the same while cantr is slower
Who wants to be normal...... Normal means you are with the majority.. and I dont want to be with them......

Is this extreme lagginess only temporary? Or can we expect this from now on?

It should be temporary . It may still last half a day or so but it should be resolved soon.

I'd noticed this on dialup also, but then when I got to uni it was very slow there too. I think, as of now, it's all cleared up and is working fine.

Still slow to me, and I am getting alot of strange errors as well as being redirected to the login screen and getting a message that my login was invalid or expired.

Yeah, it is :) After that headache inducing white they put us through, it was certainly worth it.

Yes mine is faster too YEAH... this morning it was white and faster.... while at work today on DSL it was normal looking green.. but now back at home with dial up again it is still white but fast still so I can learn to deal with white for the speed ... for sure.... But it is kinda hard to tell when an event has happened that I ahve checked on yet the bold doesnt show up as well.. but I will get use.... I would rather put up with that than watching the screen stay the same and the little progress bar crawl across the screen

The speed and the white are really *totally* unrelated - but I'm quite happy people say it's faster again :) ...

The focus for the ProgD will still be on efficiency and speed for a while, though.

Try refreshing the browser to make it go green again... and if that doesn't work, clear the browser's cookies...

Not the cookies ... it's in the general cache ... you can clear that, or just reload, or in Opera, open explicitly http://www.cantr.net/cantr.css, which should also fix it.
