I applied to become a member of the resource department since saturday and they still haven't answered or even an automated message. Do they even reply to you?

I think it takes a long time. Much longer than a few days.

I don't know for sure, but I'm under the impression that it takes months for your application to be handled. . . . I would not expect a response within a week if I were you.

out of personal experience, how long did they take to accept your application to the communication department, might be a bit personal

It depends. We're trying to do these things fast, but at the moment all three GAB/Personnel members seem largely inactive, so right now it's really going to take a while. I'm sorry about that.

I apologize for long delays in responses getting back to applicants. It is often times unacceptably too long of a wait. Jos is right, the three of us have been very inactive lately, for various rl reasons. That you applied on Saturday and are frustrated that you haven't yet received a response, warfreak, is a tad too impatient. Sorry. I'm not sure which application is yours, but I do believe it got posted.

I have been away or working ever since. Each application must be commented on by a few different people, a decision made, after which a response can be sent. A couple of weeks is a normal wait......any longer should be deemed unacceptable, however sometimes unavoidable.

Sunni....I apologize for you having to wait so long to hear anything. The decision had been made on your app., however we were waiting for a decision to be made on the new Comm. Dept. chair before bringing you on board. You should have been notified of this, and I take full responsibility for not doing so.

By the way.......welcome aboard.

Yes, it would be nice to know, either way. I knew there was a large waiting time for applications to be processed, but I am glad to hear that this is more of an aberration then standard practice. (my application for Resource Dept. from 7 weeks ago is probably floating out there somewhere)

wow, that sure got some cantr members riled up. Anyway, as a comment on your inactiveness, might i suggest a timetable. One of you are on certain days and there should be a casual chair for replacing those who are busy. And might i suggest that the department leaders look at the application for their respective departments. That might speed things up. I'm not saying HOWEVER, that i am forcing you do those things, their just ideas to your problems

Keep in mind that staff are not paid, and are volunteers. Well, that's what they always say. "Real lives."

What a joke.

We all know they're busy playing their characters. ;)

i doesn't take that long to process an application. Its just a simple accepted or denied. I would think that they would want more people who are willing to help out for free. Might speed some things up a bit, like the resource dept. If they have more members, the might be able to implement some ideas faster and start placing the newer materials on the first idea to balance things. I would do that if i was on the resource dept
