Really weird events

Postby The Industriallist » Tue Oct 28, 2003 6:21 am

Earlier this week, the headquarters of the Alenz Hills Mining Company found itself in Pok, with a number of characters inside. From what the old-timers there said, this wasn't the first time either, and someone had once gotten off the building and never been seen again. The situation was kept under control by locking the door and waiting untill things returned to normal. If things like this happen too often, IC religions could have real miracles to point to.

If anyone knows of other such incitents, it would be interesting to hear of them.

I remember when Craktar the Vampire use to suck people into his building from places that no one in Krif knew about or from roadways. Then the person would be dragged days later, dead.

Still don't know what the problem was with that. One of my characters is currently walking on water between Querk and Kwaki. :D

Yes, when I made the map, I had some roads in mind that bend a bit or go around an area; but when we implemented the maps, we assumed straight roads. There are two or three roads, I think, that actually cross water.

This is also the reason why some roads are going really slow, while the distance is fairly short ... I had a zigzag kind of road in mind, and now it's a straight line (e.g. from Lake Village into the mountains).

One of the Rangers in Seatown Forest claims to be from Blaman, and had a similar teleporting experience.

That ranger is the one I meant, he's one of my recruits.

Bugs like these could lead to great RP experiences. Another character of mine just seemed to have a "telepathic kill" power as when he shoots people with his crossbow, they just drop dead, but the usual message " You kill X with a crossbow" doesn't appear in the events list.

Myth and Magig in Cantr after all?

I guess that represents the number of things that aren't entirely plausible happening IRL.
