Wow... I'm very impressed! I really enjoyed this newsletter, it was worth the wait, IMO.

Keep cranking them out in that format! :D

Who wrote "The Cantr of the Future?"?

Because I want to poke gaping holes in it...

I agree. :) But I'm not really a "gaping hole" poker, so I'll not comment further. . . . And it was submitted on the site by "Anonymous," so I don't know who wrote it. By the way, for those of you that want to submit articles, could you please send them to webzine@cantr.net rather than using the form on the site?

And in case anyone didn't see them, there's two articles that don't show up under "recent articles" or in the box in the upper left, because apparently it only shows the 10 most recent. So click "Issue 2" and they're at the bottom of that page. Wouldn't want to miss Anthony's tips and tricks or Judith's long divison riddle. :)

I want to say congradulatoins to the people of Vlyryan.

Good to see this remaining a more worldly game and not another cluster of 14 year old americans like so many other games tend to be.

In my opinion your history was one of the best articles so far and they have all been good

Fascinating history, Bowser! Well written and documented, with good analytical remarks. I learned a lot about this episode. I didn't know about the involvement of the Lad Empire, for example. I remember Piers Anthony claiming to be the liberator of Cantr City because of Lad infiltration, but I never knew there was any truth in his words.

This lack of knowledge was also the reason for the behaviour of my character William Delano: he really thought that the fighting in town was between some groups of citizens - the rumour was that the violence started after some business argueing if I remember well. Delano tried to stop fighting by refusing to deliver food to any of the fighting parties and in the meantime by starting peace negotiations. He talked a lot with - again: if I remember well - Gustav to end the violence. But like you write, Delano wasn't a hero at all. He was in panic that time, didn't understand anything about what happened. In 'his' peaceful city suddenly a lot of people were killed, even a member of his inn team was murdered for no reasons, and in the middle of the chaos his beloved wife Phaedra disappeared (she fled to another town, I think, but William didn't know that). When in the end Cantr City was invaded by Alenz Hills, he didn't know what to do, he felt like he had lost everything in life and decided to go down with the city like a captain at his sinking ship. Even that wasn't possible however: he was not killed in Cantr City but in a prison in Alenz Hills.

But like I said: very good history. I hope you will write more of these articles!
