Just noticed this...
Road 1 (path) (direction: west-south-west)
Road 2 (path) (direction: south)
Road 3 (path) (direction: north-north-east)
Road 4 (path) (direction: south-south-east)

We're talking about the direction the road travels, for exploration purposes. What are you talking about, dynamic naming? We already have that, clearly!
