Skill Implementation

I just thought it was something worth mentioning...

John Woodhouse is in his 80's. Has been mining stone all of his life.

I look at him and guess what?! He's "awkwardly" mining stone!

IMO, this is a prime example of how the skills were badly implemented. But this is more of a pointless comment than anything else. What's done is done.

They just madee it so they weren't retroactive, it may seem unfair to the older players, but they just wanted to make it so the new players wouldn't be instantly outdone by the older players and everyone had to start on the same level.

I'm just happy Jaina changed her last name ages ago, it would've been even more embarrassing to be called Hunter and hunting awkwardly.
How about Pharap been sewing for years and now being awkward in it?

Then again there are fitting matches too: Jaina hates cooking and sewing and how about that, she's awkward in those too. And skillful in kicking people's ass. And Ken whom I've imagined a bit queer is expert in sewing and ok in cooking. All my wanderers are experts in hunting. And - can't help boasting, Gahak who has always considered himself superior to all others has proved out to be expert in all he's tried this far, except for farming in which he's "just" skillful - and anyway that should be left for the dirty peasants!

As a straight guy who likes to cook, I slightly take offense to that.

And I imagine at least one gay guy who sucks at cooking might be offended.

:P Ever wondered why cooking is titled as ladies work and yet all the big chefs are male? Guys make fine Sunday food and wives do the plain food.

Seko you seem much too intelligent to be spouting all the homophobic, sexist and racist things you say. I don't get it. What's the deal? Is this how people think in your country or area or school or whatever?

I'm also kinda pissed that the people who moderate these threads will jump on any little cuss word but let all this ugly nonsense from her go by without comment or censor.

What, I'm just saying! :x Did I say "In my opinion women should slave in the kitchen and men should only do fine cooking"? Nope. I just see that's the way it is traditionally and has been changing only recently, and certainly not in all families or places. Yes that's how it is in my country and my family, and you know what, in school only one girl selected woodwork instead of needlework. So it shows in there too. But I wouldn't go saying my country is 100% stuck on old sexism. Or that my family would be. It's not a thing where you have to go to one extreme or another. In my family, my mom does most of the housework, my brother does some efficient cleaning and cooking when he's home, my dad is mostly just a leech but sometimes does cooking and helps in housework when poked into action, and also handles repairs and stuff like that, and I do some assisting housework. We have a friend family where the woman does all the kitchenwork and cleaning, the guy does the garage work. They're in their sixties. Old people won't change.
I am not saying all men who cook are gays. It's just a stereotype. And how am I homophobic if I have characters with gay alignment? They are usually shy about it, thanks to the society who only shows heterosexual relationships.
And lets not start on the rasist matter in this topic, ok?

Kinvoya, you're much too smart to stuff a pea in your nose over this matter.

I agree that people complaining about someone saying "oh shit" (censor this if you want to) is quite stupid in this context, it's not violent or abusive language, it's like in Forest Gump they say "shit happens" and the one guy does a bumper sticker about it. What if in that movie they would blur the word shit in the bumper sticker and when they say it there would be

Sticker guy: "Whoa you just stepped in a pile of dog doo!"
Forest Gump: "It happens."
Sticker guy: "What, *bleep*?"

I have actually recieved comments on numerous occassions from the European women at work about my cooking skills. They seem to find it fascinating that American men actually know how to cook (something more involved than pasta or mac and cheese! :D ).

Oh yeah.....Kabong pot food expert!

I found one thing Gahak is awkward in but with six experties it doesn't matter  Gonna be the king of the world.
