Spawn change?
I've noticed more people spawning in well-nigh uninhabited places of late.
A small place with a permanent population of two suddenly has three newspawns, and Bowser mentioned his swamp guy suddenly got one too.
Is this just a coincidence, or has the spawning paradigm been slightly changed?

I'm not dead; I'm dormant.

It was changed a while ago so that spawning was randomly diversed through all populated areas and that how many people were on the location no longer counted. You see they were having a problem with only the high populated places getting all the spawns which led to players having many characers spawn in the same general area. It also hurt places with small or average populations. I believe it was changed so that wouldn't happen anymore or at the least it was discussed.

That is nonsense and was at least never considered by me ... Spawning is still dependent on population density, as it used to be. I did change it, though, recently, from a spawning probability that was directly proportional to the number of people on a location to one that is proportional to the square root of the number of people on a location. Thus, yes, smaller locations should get more newspawns now, while bigger locations still get more than smaller ones.
I didn't expect people to really notice, though

I totally had an argument a while back with the Sociologist or the Industrialist or some ist where I was saying that animals reproduced and chars should be able to see them having sex and therefore sex (or the knowledge of) existed in Cantr!!!!!!
Where were you to back me up, Jos?????
Those guys always wear me down and think they've won the argument.

Anyhow, for the record I don't have any problems with the spawn rate. It seems to be about right.
