So embarrassing...

I was so embarrassed today when I confused one of my characters for another. They're at the same place and I didn't think to look and see. 
I know it's probably not that big of a deal and happens all the time but it was pretty embarrassing. What should I do in that situation? Any tips to help avoid that situation? LOL

I've come pretty close to doing that before. And I've seen it done many times before...okay...just a few actually.

It happens. Just go with the flow and if you have explain OOC what happened to the other players.

It's o.k., unfortunatly I do it on a semi regular basis. I've gotten a lot better though. The first time it happened i was traumatized. I made the other person swear not to tell and my char moved away because i was so embarrased, haha.. If you can somehow work your mistake into the game (unless it's not possible) then that's good. And if you can't, oh well, people will forget about it in time.

It happens to me occasionaly, it's why when i have chars in the same place one tends to suffer and go quiet, and why I don't like having 2 chars in the same place

I have it sometimes, too. Just say with the char who had to say it "You take the words out of my mouth!" and continue with cantr. People who've read it, forget it after a while.

It happened to me once, so then I pretended we were all swapping names and we all did swap names, which was hilarious since people started mocking the guards...

2 characters in the same place does suck, but of course after one gets kidnapped then they are no longer in the same place. I finally decided to resist being kidnapped. Gets kind of boring after awhile.
I will never let my bike key go.

My character Zak DoUrden was killed after telling the wrong person (Alexi Romanov) that he would kill him. That is why DoUrden Estates hates the Alexian Empire for killing their beloved leader and one reason why they butchered Captain Midgey and his Imperial Guardsmen hunting General Sester Gartaf when they met in Xiria Forest.

They could have at least revealed that! They denied to know anything about the guards and even ignored their please, not a single word of response. Even dinied knowing the empire existed.
