buildings and such?????

i just wanted to know, what is the point of a building? if i build one, what good will it do me? i dont need to live in one. do i get to store things in it? and what about cottages? will someone tell me the point of some of these? thank you very much for any help.

Yes, you can store things in it. And maybe in this cantr, or else cantr 2.0, you might have to sleep. Maybe in a house, maybe not. But, just a stupid question... why do you have a house irl?

So I don't get arrested for vagrancy and loitering. That would be a interesting law to have somewhere in the game.
