Pissing off newbies

Yeah, on the new island there are a lot of newbie players and it is very easy to piss them off. One of the even called me a dickhead

. I tried to explain to him how things are but I'm not sure yet if he understood. I think it is good that a lot of the new island it mostly new players because I don't think a lot of them will try to copy off of past events leading to new stuff happening.
When in Kirinn, some of the people were talking OOCingly about how long they have been playing the oldest was three months next to my year. Wow, have I been playing Cantr that long? It seemed only like yesterday that I first played with Falkirk Corla in Drojf.

lol...yes, some of the newbies have been frisky in some places, I think it's the younger ones.

I think I am wasting more of my time limit on line trying to exlain to newbies what to do than I am actually playing characters. I liked it when it was peaceful and very few new players joined.
But now we have new blood which will be good for Cantr.
If so many people are joining the game then perhaps Cantr is beginning to become popular. Can anyone give us the current number of players?

oh, I'm a newbie! My first character turned 21 about a week a go.... but before I started playing, my friend explained the game to me very thoroughly, so there was really no confused, bad rp, obnoxious period. Now I have 5 characters, 3 of which are on the new continent. That makes things.... interesting....

though so far I've kept them distanced enough.

My oldest character is 22...but if my first character was alive still he'd be in his 40s.
No newbie, I.

My oldest character is 36 years old now, though, I think my oldest character would be in his 40s if he had lived. It took me a while to realize that you could have more than one character when I first started. I my youngest character at the moment is 21.

Oh, it can still be found on the turn reports. I don't usually bother to get them. Thanks.

Wasn't there like 1000 players at one time? Has that many people left the game?

No, we never had 1000 players. We had 1000 characters for a while. Compared to day 537, the number of players has doubled.

hmmm....maybe I do have the two mixed up. Well then that is good. No wonder why I am running into newbies all the time. There should be a way to get them on the forums when they first start because it seems I am always trying to tell someone how to do things or they are breaking the capital rule (nothing major; just a misunderstanding how the game works).

Overall statistics:
Number of players: 544

Quite a jump in the number of players

Only seven new players but later if they all stay that will be another 15 characters. I guess Cantr is doing good.
