For a place that does not control an area that has iron, coal, or limestone the place has prospered and grown powerful quite a bit. I think DoUrden Estates goes to show that it is possible to gain power wihtout controlling those resources. I think now the Estates no longer need Alenz Hills Mining Company and could well possibiliy take over the mining company itself. When my character, Zak DoUrden first founded DoUrden Estates, me as a player never imagined that it would do as well as it has or eve gain any power at all.

Ya, Robert is having a blast running it. Although I sometimes fear for his sanity regarding his dear departed boss Zak. lol

But how does he know that Zak is dead. You do know oil is a long ways away and that it is quite possible that he is still out there getting it. Though Alexi Romanov did mention to my other character, General Sester Gartaf, that since he died with honor that he would send a message to his people. I'm not sure if he did this or not.

We had some people from Lad stop by and asked Robert if there wsa going to be a problem with him about the killing of Zak. So that is how he found out.

Ah, so Alexi Romanov did send someone to tell the Estates of Zak's untimely death.

I thought the news arrived in the forest more recently, when Gaxiola and Valentine talked with him.

I'm not sure. Zak is no longer in charge of DoUrden Estates so I can't say what is happening around there except from the eyes of my other characters in the region.

I can't remember exactly when they told Robert but it was quite some time ago. A couple of months at least if not more.
