Gnomes

Postby Meh » Sat Oct 04, 2003 3:22 am

I mentioned the other day that I though Cantr folk where like 10% our size due to all the grams.

I now think thier gnomes.

Small - can only carry 15kg
Near Immortal - just keep aging
Bearded - No razors

Do the anmials need scaled back.

Rat?
Ants?

Maybe Cantr Folk are a really small race that look like humans. Like the beings in the movie the Borrowers!

a real person could probably carry a bit more, but 15kg is a lot (33lb for all you american folks), although I admit that most of the weights for tools and food quantities are off.

The weights and measures in Cantr weren't meant to be as realistic as possible. Just to allow as smooth gameplay as possible and to take an appropriate amount of time to collect, construct, etc. Something like that.

A real person could definatly carry alot more, loads weighting 80+ lbs are regularly carried into battle for extended periods of time...33lbs is nothing.

Postby g1asswa1ker » Sat Oct 04, 2003 4:21 pm

Yes I can a test to that my father was in the army and he regularly carried packes into the field weighting over 80 .lb and they were mostly compused of the little things nothing really special. But also look back into history roman soldgers commonly carried monsters loads throught campains!

Guys,

have you considered that gravity could be lower on Cantr?
That could also be the reason that stuff weights so little.
