Can't find the thread where someone metioned how hard it would be to make colthes since there is a steel requirement.
The clothes that require steel should be unique.
Here is what the rest of us could look like.
All over there should be a default style of clothes.
Some of the following could even be implemented as not steel clothes.
roman clothing
http://www.vroma.org/~bmcmanus/clothing.html
egyption clothing
http://www.dragonstrike.com/egypt/cloth.htm
Sumerians clothing
http://www.shrewsbury-ma.gov/schools/Ce ... m#clothing
greek clothing
http://www.richeast.org/htwm/Greeks/cos ... stume.html
And don't forget about buttons. If this is pre-industiral revloution button technology was unavailable. They had tie strings, sashes, and large barrel shaped buttons that rope loops went around.
I think animal hide can be skipped as clothes due to the target time period. Shoes and sheild for hide then?
