I have to say, it's always good to know who you were rebelling against.
But yes, I do seem to recall the incident.
I can't say that it changed history all that much though.
I mean you have your little Banana Republic down south, but what since when have you guys been on the front page of the world's newspapers, eh?
(If you can't tell, I'm making a joke.)

By that I meant a goverment that calls itself the commonwealth in Cantr.
The British Commonwealth, however, I love dearly and with all my heart.
A quebecois who LIKES the Queen?
*takes pictures of the freak*
How very stereotypical of you, my friend!
Everyone loves the queen!
My good friend, separatism is dead. The young people don't want or care about it any more.
The only reason people vote for the bloc is because it keeps the Liberals on there toes, and gets tons of benefit's for the province.
Although myself, I don't like the bloc at all.
A bunch of old men with long dead dreams, the poor guys.
Say that again come next time the Canadian Military drafts...

Do you see me churning out cheapshots and stereotypes? I could start on you Nova Scotians, but I don't.
You don't have to be mean.
And I don't see you serving in the army, now do I boy? Last I checked, your an administrator on an internet site.
And might I add, that I find the presence of the legal draft a very good thing, and I support it wholeheartedly.
Now if only they would buy the soldiers some weapons.........

Oui, je deteste des francais.
And I'm not Nova Scotian. I just live here.

Kid, I don't care weather you hate Quebec or not, but either way, your turning a load of uncalled for insults and idiotic stereotypes.
And as I said, I don't see you in the army, do I mister moderator?
You can't just pass of the facts by putting a little happy face with rolling eyes, man.

No, you're misinterpreting.
It's true that the majority of Quebec did not support the draft.
It's true that Quebec has, generally, not supported the Queen.
Both are pretty common knowledge among Canadians, they aren't stereotypes.
And the point of me saying "I hate the french" In french was completely sarcastic. I speak french, many of my friends are french, I lived in a french town for several years, and went to french school for a while. Heck, I'm the French forum moderator here.
And I do support the military. My dad is in the army.

No. You are stuck in a world war two world. Quebec has changed.
It's just like people who say "Indians believe in passive resistance" because of Ghandi or "The Chinese are good wall builder because they did it once."
Again, your "It's common knowledge among Canadians."
That's like saying "It's common knowledge that almost all British Columbians grow weed."
That's simply not true.
If it where, I think we might have noticed it.
The fact that you lived in a french town changes nothing, in fact, if anything, one would think that that would dispell stereotypes. Apparently not.
Just as with the white Georgians (state of georgia, U.S.A.) hundreds of years of living with the black Georgians has done little to change things.
Many Englishmen still have very bad attitudes towards Pakistanies. Many boers still feel black south africans idiots.
I could go on and on.
Just like your posistion as moderator for the french forum does not really change much either.
White Georgians speak english.
And I never said you did not support the army.
You do pay your taxes, do you not? I certainly hope so.
And it does not matter weather your opnion is "Pro-military" or whatever else.
All I'm saying is I know for truth that you have never been drafted into the army.

How this for a twist...
I'm a sixteen year old, rowdy Albertan that's joining the army reserves this summer, so I can be in the army and still go to my school named William Aberhart, where I'm in my 10th year of french imersion...

And so many of your posts are.
And yes, I will explain. In that freedom of speech thread, you made a point saying you yankees... hold on, I'll get the quote.

schme wrote:I am the kind of person who likes to kick a dead horse, and so here I am, wailing away with my steel toed boots.
It seems that yankees feel that there set of values is universal, and so they may do whatever they like within this system.
This is foolish. I was going to go on and on and on about this, but I realize that that would bore you.
Instead of a long rant, I will give you this little thing here, an example.
Yankees seem to think that there (constantly circumvented and stepped on) constituition applies to the entire world.
This is idiocy.
An example.
On countless internet forum things, television and radio programs, yankees feel they may say whatever they want to say, because of "Freedom of speech."
This is NOT true. The United States constituition protects people saying whatever thing they want, yes.
But it does not give you the right to hijack other peoples property for your own agenda.
If you want to say things that the owner of the radio station does not want you to, tough. No, he's no infringing on your freedom of speech. Your infringing on his property rights.
If you want to go shout something from the rooftops, go ahead. You can do that.
But you can't tell someone they have to let you use THERE property for YOUR agenda. If you want to do that, you will have to get your own radio station.
That is your constituition, and I am truly surprised that alot of american do not even understand this portion, or many other portions, for that matter, of there own beloved constituition.
Well, that's not the owner of the forum's (not internet, media forum) problem. He (or she) owns it, it's not yours to use. You use it on there terms. And on top of that, your constituition does not apply outside the national borders of the United States of America, however right or wrong it may be.
Deal with it.
There you are.

Merci slowness incarnate. What took you so long?!
I am liking Lake Village a lot because it seems to have rather big city excitement with a small town feel. I'd like to know how it attracted that odd mix of characters.

my char just arrived there a few years ago I think...she's from Lad originally, I think each char adds a bit of ..strangness to Lake Village. They're all on the road now having a grand time.
