I've Finally had Enough!

Postby 1959 Apache » Thu Mar 31, 2005 5:21 am

That's it, I've pushed the button, and deleted my account.

I tried to hang on and deal with all the changes. I was patiently waiting to see when, or should I say if, repairs to degrading items would be forthcoming. It never did, nor was it addressed.

The tiredness factor still cannot be what it was intended to be. If it is, then it sucks.

Now the problem with the name table. You can pass it off as a mistake, but for me it was the last straw. Going over the turn reports and re-entering names is more than I care to do. Cantr has become a chore and now a waste of my valueable time. I have no tolerance left in me for this game. It was, at one time, a great experience. That has been a distant memory, with no hope of recovery.

Goodbye.

I just found it...quite a coincidence, that the both of them are being buried together (even after so much time since their passing).

Apache,
That's too bad. :( I was hoping that you'd start feeling better about things after the new server, because I remember that the slowness was one of the issues which led to the demise of Jo Jo and the like.

But certainly.... if a game causes you that much frustration it is definitely time to quit. I have enjoyed interacting with some of your characters, who seemed to be interesting and certainly more developed than the average.

Good Luck to you.

I care. Some of us have played together for years now. It's alright Apache, when Cantr used to break down, it gave us breaks, we don't get those now, so I just make them for myself. I've taken about a month off this last time. The point is, once you get some gaming rest, you will be refreshed, and hopefully return!

Take care always and enjoy your break,

No, you missed the point.

I didn't need a break, I am fed up with the game. I'm done. The technical nightmare that has been created has driven me away. Every fix or addition to the game, has produced a problem that takes way too long to settle. It's as if there is no testing at all.

I realize that the game creators are busy with real lives, but if they want to advertise the game and make it bigger, they should also have thought about what that would do to the workload. This game requires maintenance, even without changing things.

The glory days of Cantr are behind her. All of the attempts to add realism to the game, have done exactly that, and that is also the point. I already have one life that I try to escape from, for brief periods, by playing games. I don't want the ecsape to be just as frustrating as what I try to escape.

You can make book on my not returning. The only April fool, is the one who believes I will.

He sounds a little bitter.

Just a tad, Kat.

Anyways, if the game is too challenging for you, Apache, we understand. Darwin's theory of Natural Selection at work for you, ladies and gents.

Those who will continue to thrive are ones who can learn to deal and adjust, slightly.

No. I didn't miss the point. We're all in it together. A bunch who choose to play this game. We're fans of this team, for better or worse. Our favorite sports team is called cantr. If your wanting it to be awesome 24-7, it's not going to be. It said that when we signed up. That's not realistic. Capeesh? Do you know what capeesh is? Tell me if you don't, and I will tell you. Did you have people trying to kill your characters just because you play them? No, I did, and I'm still here, SO I DON'T WANT TO HERE IT ! :D CAPEESH?! As a girl, I have a slightly different opinion from you and Jerry, but our hearts are in the same places.

I don't understand in the slightest why everyone's having any trouble at all with any of the changes... I've not, myself, had any problems at all.

And we'd know- considering how our mutual characters have the ordeal of the animals of Aki.

Pssht...society whining?
