Refering to the title of this thread. Quillanoi is buzzing now!!! See what happens when there is fresh blood injected into the town. Although technically it is not fresh, rather old pissed off blood.

True, very true. That is why I always like Quillanoi. There is not much violence but there is always disagreements. Plus there are so many ideas jamm-packed into one area. I think it would be safe to say that Quillanoi is the literary capitol of Cantr.

Well, it seems now that Quillanoi may have a new government depending on whether the town guard is released by the current government. So much for democractic government. I wonder what government the people will decide on there. And my, there are so many factions in Quillanoi and they are always arguing over everything but personally I think that is what makes Quillanoi fun.

I don't think there will be a new government. If people just banded together and told the government wha they want done instead of talking about how easy it would for Mr.Grax to take it over. Then maybe the government would be stronger.

The nature of Quillanoi's governmental style is to be weak, the emphasis has always been on business providing the momentum to the town.

True, but the cow had become a cherished member of the town. Something that everyone was proud of.

My character never felt close to that cow. But, i do have other characters who love their animals where their at so i can understand. I'm sorry you guys lost your cow.

Taxes:
Am I alone in thinking there is not enough of an economy to have taxes? My first thought was that would cripple Quillanoi's companies, and citizens alike, but now I begin to see that Russell was trying to force people to try and get money to pay taxes

For any town in genreal I think taxes could stimulate things.
It is better that the just chip in for all eternity approach that is the rule in most places which is "commune"ism.
The Aztec tax system invloved days of work per year.
Each person in town regardless of citizenship could be made to donate one day of labor a year.
Guards chasing people, undertakers, and other would actually earn tax credits.
People would then be free for the other 19 days of the year.
