Most ... Unique ... place in Cantr you know of.

What's the craziest, strangest, stupidest place you've seen in Cantr?

I remember seeing someone once allegedly talk in a town with a law against talking. Strange, kinda stupid, but, hey, if it's your saber, they're your laws.

Right now I'd have to say my biggest mental challenge of a town is Reniov Mountains. A reformed thief as town gaurd (me), A rehabilitated orc with a speech impediment as Rwak Qwarry Manger (Rock Quarry Manager), A shipwrecked Trekkie (perhaps still hiding from the Cassiopieans), our newest addition, a mute thief, A visiting blowhard emporer and entourage, some knight wandering through, and i think I heard Chief Michael Hart and his wife are trying to code kids into cantr themselves.

It was such a nice quiet town too...

Kellan of Zuzi by any chance? Oh dear, not at all good for Zuzi's tourist industry, and the Empress is such a dear too.

Oh and before any yellow CR flags go on the field, The orc is Rehabed, so he just has a massive speech impediment, he doesn't even mention orcs anymore. And the Trekkie only had to be coached in a whilpered converstion once, after those dreadful 2 days cantr was down. Her response to that was a thing of beauty.

Yes and he should be grateful of his freedom. Well roleplayed, I'd do the same if someone tried to carjack me, but I'm playing my character as he sees it.

One of my more favorite characters, which the sneezes is totally going to ruin doesn't even have a name. She doesn't speak, write notes or communicate in any other way, other than facial expresssions and actions. I started her as a sort of social project just to see how long before someone killed her for not talking (when all she did was help others on their own projects). She was really close to someone getting angry at her and she was threatened with death several times as a result, but now I believe she has been accepted as a member of society and is now helping the town grow, which is all she ever did in the first place.

I think I will have to nominate Quillanoi.
I don't think further explanation is necessary.

Some of us have been avoiding Quillanoi and thier silly "money" like the plauge. Better than the plague. I know where Quillanoi is.

Elaborate. There are new players and I really don't see anything special about quill other than the money.

Please elaborate also for those of us who have never had a character spawn anywhere *close* to Quillanoi.

alright alright.

the quillanoi government has always been striving to be as advanced and progessive as possible. they have a whole list of government positions, some elected, some appointed by elected officials, some elected by elected officials; a lengthy constitution; an official currency backed by stone and potatoes complete with a bank that holds records of everyone's accounts; and many many laws. the result is the largest bureaucracy in cantr.

in a place so structured, it has become very much like developed countries in real life, where the problems that people deal with on an everyday basis are so trivial compared to the struggle to survive that goes on everywhere else. as a result, quillanoi has become a haven for some of the oddest characters. this combined with bureaucracy, which takes itself so seriously, has produce what is in my opinion one of the most delightfully ridiculous towns in cantr.

of course i haven't had a character there in a number of years, so for all i know it could be different know, but i sort of doubt it.

Trust me, it's still ridiculous.

Seriously, at least at the moment nothing beats Reniov mountains. Quoting my character, it's a circus. (And that there are no such things in Cantr, well there should be with all the clowns around.) And though with all the glaring personalities around, it can still remain serious, though I wouldn't call it believable. Like, first you think there's too much frosting on a cake and you wonder if there's anything underneath, but there certainly is. We got the whole cake.

Somehow I feel like this text should be in rainbow colours but I'm sparing your eyes.

I don't know of any other towns that you can mine stone until you own a house or pickaxe.
I love it.

RENIOV MOUNTAINS ROCKS ! The people there are awesome. It just gets bettter and better each day. Don't know what you are talking about Agar. :D I like it that we have so many cool people and that its not so cotton pickin quite there anymore. Makes the game interesting. But for some people, yes, I do admit it makes it a bit more hectic. *cringe*

I love it up there as well. Doesn't come close to Zuzi, but it's getting close. Close, but it will never quite match it. :P
