Uh, if you have a character in Jakara, why do you have one headed there from so far away? IC reasons, I hope?

Are you trying to scare people away from Jaraka, Nick?

There are maps in lake village that show Jakara. They kind of detail that coast and not much else. I saw Sparrow breifly and almost locked her up. She needs to learn better manners if she's going to be a succesful trader.

If she doesn't suddenly decide to not be a trader and just help her other char, then she's just a trader following the map she's got, and that's all IC. If she does suddenly change in the presence of her other char, or vice versa, that is something from OOC, and bad.

It remains to be seen.

Ooh, isn't everyone suspicous?

Sparrow's heading for Jakara because she was asked to fetch limesrone, and after consullting Kolloff's map of Siom district(which happened to be lying round Lake Village, along with a couple of other rather useful-looking maps) she figured that Jakara was the best place to get it. Serendipity will probably be gone before she gets there. If not- no problem. She'll just be digging up her limestone then heading straight back. She's rather impusive, but loyal. No way would she alter her plans, now she's given her word.

Um, now has one of characters upset one of Anthony's charaters?

Not for IC reasons, I hope?

(Nick's character is certainly trying to scare people away from Jakara, isn't he, Nick?)

What about pissing off my characters?

Only two of mine get mad, honestly.

One at everyone.
The other at men.

Hahahahahaha. It's so fun.

No, not really, unless they're diseased. And that sounds like a pretty lame excuse, considering there is plenty of limestone on the way from Lake Villiage, closer than Jakara. How long have you been playing?

I just checked on my map of that area, something updated in 957, and I don't see any and I bet she doesn't either. If you look, she mentioned she was a new player, so not long, I bet a month or two.

She's acting in character on the best information she has in character, so let's just let her play this out. If she really is going to break any rules, we'll handle that when it comes. You can put away your guns now.

No offense, but I agree here. It wouldn't be just because I have a char. in Jakara either.

But it's really not anyones place to question someone like this.. Stop badgering players and go play. If there's foul play, report it. So far, there hasn't been any in fact there isn't even any sign of intentions for any. And noone on these boards owe anyone else an explanation for their actions unless they're reported formally and contacted by the PD.

Who is trying to "pork" the character in question...

Says the ex-chair of the PD? Isn't that what they're for? I think things should be reported, and the PD, not you, nor Agar, nor me, should decide if there is fault involved. Considering she will have to pass though locations with limestone just to get to Jakara, unless she takes a strange route, I don't buy her limestone excuse.

Well, maybe on her route, she'll notice the limestone, and start mining it there. Just right now she doesn't know there is limestone in a nearer location.

Nick,

Sparrow doesn't know about these locations, and neither do I, come to that. Nether does the character who asked her to get the limestone, neither dooes the character who recently dropped a note in Lake Village detailing resource routes. They're simply not on the maps, as Agar pointed out.

So where the heck are they, and why are they not on the maps?

She is, in fact, taking a slightly unusual route, becuse she was asked to say "hello" to someone in Reniov Forest East. So supposing these places exist, she probably won't see them til she's on her way back.

By the way, I was going to praise the brilliantly R-P ed paranoia of your character, but I'm beginning to suspect that you're just being yourself.

My character dislikes disease, and likes to be rational, yet no-frills.

I just plain dislike bad players. 'Nuff said.

Come on now... if I had a character head halfway across the largest land-mass known to Cantrians to the SAME location as another character of mine who looks to be getting into a little fistacuffs, I'd be yelled at by the PD in seconds.

A GOOD player tries not to have his characters intermingle. Now, when you have characters spawn close to each other, that's hard. But I certainly have not had trouble keeping characters apart that are like a year's travel away from each other.

Puh-lease!

But once again, it's not on the maps that there is a closer source. Even if she knows OOC that there is, should she deliberatly not go to Jakara, because even though her character doesn't know that there is a closer source, she does? Obviously, if she comes across a source on the way, it would be wrong to keep on going... but really now.

I have players in the same place, but thats how they spawned, They don't interact with each other, short of introductions, but they never help each other. A third was traveling with somone elses charrie, and is now there also, but again, they don't interact..(that one will soon be leaving) It all depends on the town size, in larger towns it is easy to have multiple charries together and they never actualy meet.
