Bug Reports

First off, I'm trying to report a Mysql error, but the forum only wants to let me post in a few areas, so when that get's fixed, feel free to move this thread to where it's supposed to be, because right now I can't put it where it needs to go.

So the bug:

I have a character and a companion on my longboat and we just undocked from Flounder, but then a handful of mysql errors popped up and now we're floating at sea with no where close enought to dock.

On my characters page there is:

/home/cantr/public_html/locations.inc.php on line 379

When I open up the locations for the character, There is two errors:

/home/cantr/public_html/page.description.inc.php on line 264

/home/cantr/public_html/page.description.inc.php on line 220

So, we'd like to get back on the lake please.

Seems like I'm unable to do anything with my longboats now once they're floating.

edit:this is the error msg I get:ERROR: This vessel is not capable of doing anything but floating.=

and....the forum is really weird right now or is it only for me?

The problems between forum and game are completly unrelated. A worm that only affects the forum can't touch the game.

The game is just going through it's normal "I have some excess urine in my system, release it Jos." phase. The SQL errors should be fixed, as well as the boats problem... and the maps not loading problem... and... all those other problems. They just take time. It IS the Holidays, I can almost guarantee that a lot of people aren't even near their computer to check Cantr.

I agree with Anthony. All these problems will be fixed soon. Everyone with boats should have this problem so if it hasn't been reported to flyspray yet now may be a good time to do so. :)

Looks like our hacker is a fan of the movie hackers. Zero Cool anyone?!!. Let me try and find his system and I will show him a thing or two about hacking comps.(don't worry I only hack other hackers you know just doing my part)

But anyway. Just to bash this guy. He could have been alot more creative than that with a name. Geezz. Now the screen is saying XeroCoolwas here.

I have to say I prefer the new forum. Much nicer.
I notice that it is still phpbb, does it still have the same vunerbilities?

The Forum hasn't actually changed, the version of PHP that the forums use (And now the game, even?) is now an upgraded version.

Jos is attempting to upgrade the Forum's, as well, from 2.0.5 to 2.0.11 - But just upgrading the PHP code alone is good enough, as now the security hole that was abused is closed. We shouldn't have any more worms bothering us :) (For now, anyway.)

We all can praise Jos, and Cosmo, and the like :)

Eating Question possible problem

I am wondering how the server decides what a character will eat when the character has multiple forms of food that may be eaten to prevent hunger. I had always been assuming that it ate the heaviest food (most grams required per day). However this does not seem to be the case with one of my characters he has just eaten grilled meat and has rice in his inventory.
I was planning on taking a trip and wanted to eat the heavy rice now and save the meat so I could take it on the road.
If there is a way to set the order in which food is eaten, would someone point it out to me.

Food is eaten in priority of either inventory location, or database location. Whichever, as soon as you start eating something, you'll continue to eat that same food until it runs out (Or you drop it and don't hold it when it's time for your next meal, then you'll eat the next thing in your inventory, if anything.)

You can't choose what to eat, unless you drop everything except the food you wish to digest, then when you start eating it, pick up the rest of your food. Simple. Although takes a day to prepare, of course...

See, that's the kind of thing I don't think should be "have to find out in game".
It is an example of a game mechanism that wouldn't be an issue in a real life society. Things like this should be put in the FAQ.... Even I didn't know how to change what food you eat. :|
