What is wrong with the forum?

What is wrong with the forum? I can barely see what I'm doing. We are heading for December 25, not April 1.

There was a worm in the system. It's affecting several (or all) forums using this system. I hope they fix it soon, this is really annoying.

Well, it seems the forum is fixed now, but they lost the skin that it had :(

And now I can't go into the support forum...

I like the new-looking forum, actually...
Anyway, why can't I post a problem in the general support forum? When did this come into effect? :(

The forum isn't new looking at all. Actually, it's another skin. subSilver to be exact. However, I don't know when, but the Chronicles skin (The default one) has been overridden with a skin entitled "WE SUCK" (You can witness this in your profile where you change the skin) and all the graphics have become that of subSilver. As well, the third skin, whatever it was, seems to have vanished.

And of course, all the above is assuming that you see what I see. We all might see different skins or something, I dunno.

I don't really care about the skin. It's more about the information that's in the forum.

But at the moment I can not access the general support forum (it says that only users granted special access are allowed into that forum). And I would like to be able to read that forum...

Yeah, I'm not sure why this thing with general support has happened. Are you Cantr Staff trying to get us to use Bugspray? Because reporting bugs wasn't the only use of general support (although it have seemed otherwise).

Not that I actually ever used general support... But I like to randomly read things occasionally. It passes the time... time I really have too much of... :(

Anyway... bring back general support!

I always found general support damn boring but I read it just in case something important would come up. Now that it's restricted I'm suddenly very interested to see what's going on in there... because it's a secret. But what's really needed is a problem report system that does not require registering to yet another service. The problem with general support was that people were commenting on the things even though they didn't know what's going on just because they wanted to be a part of something. Instead it should be so that the one with a problem posts it and someone with knowledge answers. Repeating questions to be entered in the FAQ. Temporary errors (the login error for example) that affect everybody should be posted in announcements so that people would know it's not just them who's suffering from it, and that the staff knows so there's no reason to report the matter a thousand times.

I don't believe that's the case (Locking you out so that you'd use Flyspray.)

Why? Cause, I'm sure then the description would change to "Use Flyspray for Support Issues at www.cantr.net/flyspray" instead of what it is now.

And not only that, Flyspray is intended for bugs. Not everything is a bug, just maybe a problem. For example, your cache is out of wack and it's showing old pages. That's not a bug, it's a problem. Or, not knowing how to move on the sea. That's not a bug, that's a problem. Get what I mean? I think it's only locked out to non-staff cause of the forum issues still being ironed out, give it time, an announcement or something will happen sooner or later.

my first thought when i saw the "changes" was that the forum has been hacked and someone with malicious intent has screwed stuff up in random ways.

I must say that I still don't understand why this business with repairing the forum is taking so long. And if there is some difficulty why nobody is coming out and announcing that there is a problem....

Well, I can get there. But then I can get to any forum...

Someone needs to drag a forum administrator into this discussion. They should be able to fix it.

Well, how are we going to get the attention of a forum admin?
