Shall we start afresh talking about the diffrent areas in Cantr?
the New Island is going to be very interesting as I get the impression that there are many different players trying to get a piece of the action there.
Already there is an Empire shaping up, and a few other groups trying to get a foothold early on.

Yes, but as Jerry said the steel factor will unbalance the power and make some people invincible until steel can be made. It will be interesting though.
I have noticed a democracy is hard to get to work considering many characters don't want to be involved for example Quillanoi. Personally I think it has a great potential as far as democracies goes but I don't think that will ever ripen because no wants to participate.
I think tha Alexian Empire will soon be back in action. Just a hunch that I have.

I was never aware it wasn't in action?
I think Quillanoi could end up a capatalistic democracy, especially seeing as apart from Jonathon Russell's party, which wants the democracy, the only other party is Cult Mechanicus, which obviously is biased towards itself and things that affect it.

True that is why I think Quillanoi's democracy will fall. The cult has become too powerful, more powerful than the government. Most of the people other than a lot of the older characters work for the cult making very few of them work fro the government or become politicians or work for other companies. I think in time the cult will run Quillanoi like the BEST Company runs Blaman or the Alenz Hills Mining Company runs Alenz Hills. But I also think that the cult will rub Siom the wrong way and eventually lead to a rivalry between the two. But we will see in the future.

I'd have to agree that from what I've seen the Cult is becoming very powerful, and I have no doubt that the rise will cause problems in the balance of that region sometime in the future...or maybe the Cult will just be manipulated by the govs into further helping the towns...we'll see...and I think the new island is going to be somewhat interesting, it'll be fun to see what happens.

If the Cult does annoy Siom, or the other way round, it will be interesting to see who comes off worst. The Cult are near to a very strategic location: Brunoi. Perfectly located for steel production

Yeah but the cult would need to gain the support of the people of Brunoi and I believe there is already a company that pretty much owns everything there since the downfall of Ryan McConnel. Plus, I think Tircqi also has a stake in Brunoi.
Siom also has their own means of getting steel. But we will see what happens.

The new island is one of my favorite places right now...the Karnon "empire" is doing a good job so far of locking down on iron production in their area...haven't been to kirrin...yet.
Why ask Why

Why is is good to lock down any resource it just creates hate and a design to be sneaky and finally people who would just find away to kill kill kill

If you control valuable resources you control the region. Many places do this with steel and iron and that is why they are powerful and usually dominate the area no matter how many people come to hate them.

Are they likely to stop me if I try and set up outposts in the area???

Naron has the feeling of a ghost town about it. Very creepy. There are more bodies than living people, almost double I think, and the only people doing much talking so far are imperial soldiers, who sounds as if they have just arrived to find half the population dead. Very Wierd and freaky

I believe someone said before that there was some guy named the Black Sheep or something. I believe he was responsible for the killing.

I've heard of a Pharoh, and some other masterswordsman guy.
Still, I think Naron is a creepy place. I think it's brilliant a place like Naron can develop such a strong atmosphere.
