For being a suicidal spawn!! I don’t like that at all. I had a character, I didn't like so much, I stole everything and hit people and ran.. This lady ran after me.. I flirted with her ALOT she liked me, wanted me to come back and work for her.. Some guy comes up and says he reported me..Now, will I get in trouble for this? Or not?

That is sterotypical old school spawn and run thief. Of course you're going to be reported. the question I have is: What if you appear to do that, but don't intend to be a spawn and run suicide? What if you have plans for and want to keep that character? I'd like to not have a character I want to keep get deleted for an understanding on the victims part.

I had a 'suicidal newspawn' a while ago - I did it because I hadn't yet played a thief of any kind, and just wanted to see how far I could get

He's managed to talk himself out of many corners - he even accused the person chasing him of being a bandit...

He's still out there - on the run again...

I don't know PD procedure - but I would assume that they give the player a chance to reply before they just delete a character... I'm sure Cantr isn't ruled by that harsh an authoritarian regime... ;)

Oh, and CK - I'm sorry about the other night on IRC - I was tired, fatigue was getting the better of me - and my on board sarcasm filter failed - don't take it personally mate

Playing newspawn killers is fun....you get to run around and hit people....and half of them won't even chase you  ...and then you get lucky and find a building with no lock and bam!, hit the mother load and your a well armed newspawn.

There is a difference between being a thief and a suicidal character. Stealing things and then running because your character is a thief is not a suicidal character. Now doing it to intentionally get your character killed is a suicidal character. Now if your character wanted to die then thats okay but if your charater had no other reason except that the player didn't want to play that character then it is a Capital Rule Breach but if your character is a thief and steals things and is killed or if your character is suicidal and decides he or she is a coward and won't kill themselves and gets someone else to kill them (suicide by a cop idea) then it is not suicide but the main thing is that it has to involved character's reasons not player's.

In order for players to get a character deleted for whatever reason that is not in game then that player has to e-mail the Player's Department and ask them to delete that character.

It is also very poor RPing...

CKY, a character that asks people to kill him is:

1. Extremely idiotic RP.
2. Definitely comes under the category of suicidal newspawn.
3. Not rare.
4. Not RP at all, in fact.
5. Very very annoying.

Oh, and that was me who reported you.

I saw that character and I thought it was fairly well played. He didn't just spam the words "kill me". He actually did have a personality. I think reporting him was jumping the gun a bit. I have seen much worse snatch and runs. The reason I think you got reported however was that you stole notes. In real life stealing notes would have no practical use other then to annoy people. Which is not good if your going with the thief defense.

It really wasn't a cpaital rule breech though.

Actually, trying to get your character killed off for OOC reasons is a vilation of the CR.

In my eyes it doesn't really matter if you try to spawnkill yourself in a "good way" RP wise...it is still poorly played to not try to preserve their lives just because you would like to live in another area.

Yes, you are right. I'm against it, but I'm saying is that it may have been a bit hasty to report someone until you get the entire story. In this case is sort of was a CR breech, but not as bad as others I've seen.

CD EDIT: Double post again! Swymir, you like doubleposting, don;t you? PLease only click once. Your computer might not show anything, but the server always knows you've clicked. And therefore it's been posted. (Revanael)

EDIT: Sorry My computer has been crap lately. Might be time for another clean-up.

You got reported because you asked to be killed, CKY. That's why.

Everyone else: I was the person who reported CKY, I play the character from whom the OOC comment came from, and I know why I did it. Now, enough discussion of why, ok?

I am unaware when you were given powers to dictate what we are allowed to talk about, Revanael...
