Cantr RPG

Postby Nick » Thu Sep 11, 2003 10:57 pm

Hello all. I am going to be making a Cantr RPG, but it will be more Final Fantasy style. It will be a rpg with more of a branched story, as in you can get a different ending everytime you play almost, instead of the same storyline everytime you play. The storyline will directly follow "real" cantr history, and it will use only "real" cantr characters. What I am going to need is different campaigns for each individual island (Lad island, Krif Island, Sring-Sri island), so I need a city to base the storyline on for each of the islands, as well as a character to be the main character, and some characters to be the enemy (will directly relate to cantr history... example might be nathan holm, who started as a soldier, survived his governments overthrowing, started a resistance group, and took over the region. enemy chars might be Donna Trent or something like that) So can someone suggest some characters to base the rpg on, and their enemies?

I would wait a little longer for the RPG. Wait until a lot of the older characters have died from old age and we can know their full story.

Yes but I plan to have it a mix of a whole bunch of different characters storylines... I dont need to use the full life of someone. I am just showing how all the civilisations connect.... except I will have to be creative with krif/lad... as they have never met.

You could just use all the obvious ones. In Siom Steve Kardos. For an evil character, in Quillanoi Cromwell. In Olip Forest Pauric Grimes or Crag Rock. Then all the 'legendary characters' like Lunactic Larry and Kraktar(or whatever wat you spell it).

Dont think that would have helped very much, but maybe it will make someone else write something that does.

Cromwell never lasted long enough to be a true enemy. I dont know what exactly I will do with the RPG. I probably wont start it until I get the OK from Jos to use his map... which wont be very soon. But I can plan the storyline until then.

New days are happening, Yo Yo. Deeds that will ring out through all history.

For serious.

Actually this is something we could do now. Something along the lines of D&D but with a cemeted storyline. I guess Final Fantasy style comes to mind.

Hehehe, imagine the one for Noniwrok... Maybe someone who participated in the TBR-Karnon war, if it could be considered one... Or someone who saw and survived the various Kwor massacres... Or one of the Kirinnians who saw Burgeo...

I can deliver histories from Sring-Sri, Olip Forest, Lad and Alenz Hills.

Will you do both sides of the stories? I mean, have it from both views?

I started this topic 2 years ago... never really went far with it as I didn't find a character I could make a good RPG from.
But keep up the ideas, and maybe we could collaborate to make a good one. :D
