What would you do if..
You and someone else was in a building all alone, And for an odd reason he says he ties you up and starts *rapeing* you, would you have to sit there and...rp along, or would you just leave the building and tell your friends? I'm bored and thought of this and just wounderd what would happen...

I would probably ask im OOC if he was serious about his motives and then decide to RP the situation out with both people involved if he was. Depending on who of my characters it was I would make a decision if they would succeed or not...
If he seemed unserious and didn't want to RP the situation in a good way I would probably ignore his characters actions and report him to the PD.

Hell yeah. But... if they rp they are using rope then they should have it in their inventory, if not then saying only that they're using their superior force. Ok I'm a freak but I certainly would not miss this kind of a great chance to rp.
Edit: Of course, in case the start would be poorly rp'd I would ignore it. But I do not turn back any good rp.

I think the point was that one player would be trying to force another to go along with events that technically aren't even possible, and at the same time fixing it so the other person's character can't even fight back. I'm pretty sure I read an announcement saying that was against the rules (I think it even said something like 'hides behind a tree' wouldn't be allowed, and tying someone up would be even worse, as at least hiding doesn't restrict anyone's actions)
If someone else's character can type *ties you up and rapes you* and I'm forced to RP like it actually happened just because it was in astericks and therefore must have happened, then I should be able to walk into a town and say *summons her army of twenty trained soldiers carrying sabers and riding on attack elephants to subdue the town leaders* and everyone should have to act like that army is really there and obey me.
If you feel like RPing something like that out then it's one thing, but in every freeform RP game I've ever played that kind of behavior is condemned as twinkish; you're just not supposed to force any actions on other players. In a fight, for instance, you can RP shooting at someone, but not actually shooting them; whether they're hit or not is up to them to decide. I guess in this situation it would be okay to try to tie someone up, (though it would still be iffy since rope in Cantr doesn't even function that way) but you can't just come out and say you tied them up and now you can do what ever you want to them. In that case I would just *use my magic powers to untie the rope and walk out in disgust at such bad RPing*

Well, actually not. See, RPing is only allowed in domains that don't interfere with implemented features. So soldiers carrying sabres is right out, because seeing people and fighting are programmed features. Rape isn't which makes it a marginally acceptable use of RP (in cantr-physics-ish terms. Not socially, I would guess.)
RPing super-powers isn't ok, even in response to someone else RPing something impossible. Either counter them by RP-escaping, or ignore their RP (?)

The problem isn't that they are trying to commit rape in cantr. The problem is that they're trying to abuse the ** RP 'mechanic' to (a) do things that they wouldn't reasonably be capable of, and (b) force/prevent RP actions by other involved characters.
You couldn't use that for a murder, since RP can't cause injury. Or for a theft, since no matter what you RP people see you pick things up.
Someone committing a rape in cantr that was perfectly RPed might be grounds for the PD to question the players sanity, since it would either be really good (but disturbed) RP, attempted sabotage, or an actual nut...but that's a totally different issue. Murder and theft are fine

I see more the need for PD involvement if the rp is in poor taste, or very unwelcomed by the other player. Such rp should, in my opinion, never be engaged in unless you know that char/player won't be offended.
As for the mechanics, the action would technically be okay, but not the tying up unless they did have the rope, the victim couldn't cut the rope unless they did hold a knife or similar sharp object.........until these mechanics of these items is programmed in, rping their uses is okay in my opinion. Once they are programmed in, you wouldn't be able to rp you did it unless you actually did.
