I use to believe that Maynard Leeward was somehow behind these groups but after having talked to Jerry I don't believe Maynard ever worked with these groups or even knew they had existed.

Damn straight...if Maynard had known what I do now he'd never have been in the hills to be ambushed. I also think there was alot of OOC info being passed and CR breaks in that area around that time and that they affected the outcome of that entire ordeal alot more then anyone would ever want to admit, one example of such is the 8-9 people that died in Krif at the same time as Simmons, and the 10 chars that tried to off Maynard when he first woke up were probly controlled by no more then 3 players.

I don't feel as if I have a right to comment on the going on's of the Krif/MacG's region... even though my character gained a sort of identity out of that whole hysteria.

What I like is the transitioning of power in Nonirowk. That small island is akin to a tempest in a teapot. Pirates framing TBR, TBR has internal struggles, Kwor is trying to straighten up, and Karnon is coming along quite nicely...

I think it will become a very interesting place to be in the near future... I'd say something big happens within the next 10-15 cantr years.

Whilst poor Kirinn struggles on through the loss of all it's leaders, and all the pirate attacks and thieves...

I have the right...Gregor is nuts. He may still be 100% correct, but he's definitely nuts.

And I could see the end of it coming any time now. It wouldn't take much for your presence to be erased.

Is he really nuts, or does he want you to believe he's nuts?

He came close to getting himself and all his 'kin' wiped off the map. At least that's what I think would have happened if the war he almost provoked had gone off.

Well we have seen a Grand Army wiped out by a few well armed Do Urden men. Who can tell the same wouldn't have happened here.

I am convinced that Gregor would have had some success, but the sheer size of what he intended to do would certainly have spelled death for him and all with him. The region is more than one large well equipped army. It would take a lot more than he had.

The Krif crisis has most definitely enhanced the power of the Rangers. By the way, I don't get the impression that they were guarding Krif. Drenth went off to see Gregor and John Locke ended up in KHW looking for 'missing diamonds' and whatnot.

John definitely gets around, whether it be on bike, hiking or hitching a sealift.

Through out the Crisis, there was at least one Ranger in the town of Krif-

Anderton Cale left immediately for KHN upon this news, to size up the situation.
Gary Drenth headed toward Krif, and arrived soon there after.
John Locke was notified, and asked Thomas Petty to come along.
Gary Drenth departed rather hastily, but soon thereafter Louis O came along.
The town of Krif/along with the Rangers, captured Yahsmina.
Anderton Cale came back, relieved John from the duty station.

So, you had upwards of 3 Rangers there during the crisis.

As well as the main KRDF contingent, and certain respected KDS members. SF was also notified.

Size matters not. It's who can get where and when.

If the region assaulted a Mac Gregor stronghold, I think they'd get served. Unless they brought everyone who can weild a sabre or crossbow at once, and that doesn't seem like a very good idea, now does it?
