How common is sex in Cantr?

Has one or several of your characters had sex in Cantr? If yes, how old were you when it (first) happened? If not, would you like to rp sex in Cantr and how old are you now? (In this case sex can mean anything starting from fondling naked to the act itself - if you wouldn't like your mommy seeing it, then it fits the criteria).

This is to track how commonly it happens. Has nothing to do with your real-life sex experience. Soon we'll find out wether it's just a minor group that has gone naughty or are all the whisperers in fact frigging like rabbits. ;)

The thing about ages is that to my knowledge, 16-year-olds are the ones legally right to have sex, anything below is child abuse. Don't know if that applies to internet as well. And 18 is when you should be in adult in most places. Ok the categories are a bit odd sized but I just couldn't crunch it into just two. We know that the characters are all over 20 but many of them played by 14-year-olds (which is not visible in many cases).

Cherize,

Does that mean you have sex in Cantr and that it is not common or you don't think that sex is common in Cantr?

I was ready to laugh my ass off when first checking the results and there were only voters who had been having sex in Cantr (5), but maybe that only means that the biggest cyber-addicts are most likely to run voting first.

I don't have much to brag about, done it three times in Cantr, with two charries. Also attempted to aggravate someone into raping one of my characters, not knowing then that the player in question was a minor. Good thing it didn't work, what kind of hidious mental damage that could cause... to the guy. *tries to keep a straight face* Seriously.

Edit: The morality of it all, now that's a good question... I have a long-term boyfriend but do not consider IC sex as cheating, even if it turns me on. But cybering as myself, even less descriptively, makes me feel guilty.

Edit 2: Somehow I have a feeling that keeping track of how many times your characters have had sex might turn difficult in the future. I expect characters in a deeper relationship to do it, it doesn't have to be pornographic but believe me they would get frustrated if there's no such action at all. I would be ready to rp any of my characters in a sex scene if it comes to that, though there are some that likely would not seek such a relationship, or would feel uncomfortable about it.

I never considered cantr-sex to be cyber-sex. Cyber-sex is something that you would get off on (in my opinion). And Cantr-sex is creative writing. It has inspired some of my romance novels. It's always great to be able to play out ideas with other people. It lets you see if it works or not.

And yes, I know that a lot of people are probably going to disagree with me on that. But, with Cantr, almost everything is written as if you are that char, not you. Cyber-sex (I think) would be writing to that person what you would actually do to them, not as if it were a char performing the action, for example typing: "I slowly lick you." Instead of typing something like: "He smiles as he slides his tongue slowly up her neck" as most people would in Cantr. There is a diffrence between role-playing a character and sitting in a chat room getting off on what someone is typing to you.

I have a few characters who get laid occasionally, but I only do cantr sex for RP purposes... not just for "fun". I've never "cybered" before because frankly I find that kinda weird, and pointless, but cantr-sex has an rp value as sex changes the relationship between two characters just like it would in real life. Well, not "just" like it would, but it does affect gameplay.

It tends to make me feel odd when people are RPing anything inside of astericks, and they use the word "You" as in...*Touches you. Kisses you.* That totally freaks me out. If I were to cyber, I would use those words. When I roleplay i use "his/hers" as in, "*He kisses her.*"

I don't know why that is, but the word "you" just ...~_~ makes me all >.< squeamish, like..."Umm it's not me...its my char...It's hers...not mine"

That's a good point Missy. But I think most of the people say you because that is how the game is set -up it doesn't say He see a man entering a building it says You see a man entering a building and that might be why people astrix other events.

I usually use him and such but if the other side is using you I will eventually fall in for that too because it sounds amazingly stupid how another one is speaking of you and the other of him or her. But using I in asterisks, now that would go too far...

>Robert: Isn't I don't want to sort of like I don't care (about it)? Or if you don't care, why post at all?

Yes, I've seen people use " *Puts my.* And that is just as bad as *you* from my perspective. (Not to say that people mean to try and have cybersex or feel that they are when they use the word you. But I would if I did, and I just can't use it.)

No, and I'm over 18 (just). It's just weird from my point of view... I don't mind others doing it (sorry about the pun), but just don't involve me.
