I find it interesting that OOC "knowledge" is already affecting perceptions of colds. For example, a reference made in one place to getting cold and getting this cold, which is really just a real life misconception because the common cold has nothing to do with being cold: it's a viral infection and equally likely to be caught in the middle of a heatwave as in winter (the change in cases from season to season is probably due to the closer confines people reside in during colder months)

It's a shame, as I would have liked to have seen how people rp dealing with a new disease within the context of the game world and their character's field of experience. Instead we have again "art imitating life" in a sense as people apply their ooc understanding to the game. :(

That may have been the most excited I have seen someone get over diseases.

I have a concern...

With diseases now in the game in some form ... are there any cures? Or will the diseases simply run thier course and then go away, like colds?

I don't care WHAT, if any, cures there are, just that there ARE cures.

I haven't seen anyone sneezing either...and I have 15 characters. :?

Are these deseases based on decaying corpses, lack of clothes or some random factors? Let me guess..."you will have to find out...)

I remeber an error message about eating things raw, but those showed up on healing food... Seems odd that healing your character could make it sick...

What Rev means, is, when you find out how it works, enter your profile and change your name to 'Nobody', then tell anybody you want how it works. :)
