Soda is an archaic name for sodium hydroxide, if I remember correctly. It is used to make glass clear and not, say, black.
Let me take a guess. . . Is this town called Ladvicitavoi?

Tolomus wrote:Hi people, I am also a newbie, this is my first day, etc. I seem to be getting the hang of things but my chars seem to be in rather desolate locations. Is there any way to find/see a communal map or something.
Also, when you travel does a map of sorts develop for yourself, or is there any way to draw where youve been or are going in-game?
To answer your question #1, there is no public OOC map of the world. Maps can be found in game which have been created by the characters.
Question #2, no your character doesn't automatically remember the way the world look from where he or she traveled. Your character only remembers what you have him or her remember (which is what you remembered though good role players might have their characters forget information) or what she or he writes or draws of a map. You can write or use a paint or photo program to sort of draw a map of where your character goes. Just send the image to programming and they will hook you up with an html code of the image where you can paste it into a note. Most maps are written rather than drawn in Cantr so far.

Thanks ppl for the feedback.
As a matter of fact, the place that I walked away from was not Ladvicitavoi, though I can't remember the name at the mo.
Also, as to the soda, and other minerals, etc, how is it that chars know what minerals/stuff is present in the ground at any time? Surely there would be many minerals that are underground, yet one seems to know whether there there or not.

Well you see, there are these little green postcard signs everywhere. Theres one beside the tree that says 'wood', one beside the cotton plant that says 'cotton' one beside the corn that says 'corn'...

Yeah, these little green postcard signs are really helpful when you don't know that wood comes from trees....

Umm, is this normal that I have the option to eat my 76 grams of feathers to 'get back some strength'? Why should feathers give me strength???

Ahh see its a cover

they give you the option to get a new strength called flying.
Until you fall off the couch backwards (instead of jumping off it) and knock yourself out.

Your character might actually think of eating feathers as a good idea.
He just doesn't like them and spit them out again. But maybe when UR really hungry...

Hmm, I've never tried feathers before... might be interesting,
Seriously though, is this a glitch/error or something to report?
