ever come to a Massacred town??

Postby cantrpotatoe » Sat Aug 21, 2004 5:17 pm

I have a character that spawned then moved to a town where there was nobody in sight... so he started digging up potatoes. after about a week, someone finnally came. he asked about the two buildings that were there

not knowing .. i went into one of them.. found 15,000 sand , and a dead body.. thought nothing of it untill i went into the next building and found 8 dead bodies!!! this is one of those small towns that you travel to and find only about ten people there at most!!!

so i have taken over the town, made my own laws and am king!!!
not so great though.. the only resources there are sand and potatoes, but its a nice quite little town.

anyone else have anything like this happen to you??

Lots of luck with sand and potatoes.
Ever heard of Sring Sri Island? Basically a massacred island... Not sure if anyone is still alive there.
I had a character spawn in the Pok Desert and go to Pok Harbor. Some Pok Mountain Mining Company left a bunch of stuff laying around, like..a couple thousand grams of steel, 10k iron, a bike with a key... Weapons, etc... Unfortunately at the time cod was the only thing there, but it needed to be cooked, so he had to leave, and went to Doryiskom.

I did with my older character. But my newer ones at first were not into the whole running a town thing. They didn't have time for idiot thiefs and such.

I really would like to know how many people are on Sring-Sri. That place is like... a death camp...

Well, Vrayllnuets hills north was completely massacred. We were told about it had happened, so we knew what to expect when we got there but Jonas was still quite shocked, after all they were the people he had spend his first year with, and if he hadn't moved out he would also have died. The place was also completely looted, though I don't think there was anything more than rice and corn. It's sad when somebody does things like that.

I had a char who was starving and lost in the Pok Southern Mountains, who stumbled upon Dorian. There were lots of goodies and keys, but my char was scared that there might be townsfolk inside the buildings, so she took off with what she acquired outside.

Later, she came back, hoping the town was still deserted so that she could claim it as her own. She wound up feeling guilty because she'd lied about her connection to the town to a man she met and was very fond of, and she gave her things away and left.

My chars don't make good naughty people, 'cause they always feel remorse. I'll be proud if I can one day make a truly rotten char

I am still on Sring-Sri, and I know of a few other. I am a little sad that no one ever comments on my character in Sring-Sri and always mention King Dev and Katie.

Let me see if I can name the people there...

Katie
Dev
Willy
Saeo
Honn
The woman with Honn
Liu
some new spawn woman

there may be a few more in sring-sri and shai, but I just named the people in Bhak, Nraam, and Dhung.

They're mentioned because they're violent. They don't know how to hold their sabre in their seath, they just run around going "Who are you? ... Wait, know what? I don't care. *Stab*" - I'd know. The fabled Katie ran into Bhak YEARS ago, and just started swiping her sabre around at everyone, it was Bizarre.

Regardless, you're missing one character - My own. Just spawned there a few days ago. Kinda sucks. I know OOCly that the people are violent, so I'm afraid that my character will find an easy and quick death, assuming he won't be given a fair chance, once he comes in contact with them.

Damn, are there really so few characters on Sring-Sri? I have a character there but it's not until I saw your roll-call of characters Bowser did it ocur to me how few there are. Even less - Liu's dead now. There's another guy there now; Tayln I think. I reckon Bowser, you must be Saeo given your reference to 'Honn and the woman with Honn'.

I do think there's hope for the island now though. There's been a sort of calm after the storm and it seems to be making way for reconstruction, after what, nearly ten years since the massacres? They must have been just before my character spawned.

"There is only one person on that island, and that is me. The rest are barely above scarabs and just below mountain goats on the evolutionary charts."
